Fight is on NOW.
Holy fuck.
Quickest fight ever.

The first punch that is thrown is from najman and he completely telegraphs it.
Pudz actually sees it coming and blocks it. He then intelligently uses distance via karate leg kicks, and since those are a boxer’s weakness, he manages to fuck up najman.
Once najman is down (where he does some retarded backroll, and does it slowly, wtf) pudz rushes him and does the good old ground and pound.
Pudz is actually an intelligent fighter. I so thought he was gonna storm right off the bat.

wow that was scary. also a nice takedown by the referee
after watching this fight all I could think of was.
SPOILER
He ran him down like a meat chariot with shin-scythes.
@blaze: I never thought he would bridge the distance like that.
getting ground and pounded by that man must be terrifying. he must hit like a truck.

SPOILER:
to be fair, najman did some weird back spin after he fell down. It was a really slow and drawn out spin and it didn’t even look like he was trying to get up.
Is there anything Pudz can’t do? Mr. Olympia next?

Anyone else dissapointed big time?
Sorry folks, but that looked a bit like that Bob Sapp VS Akebono fight…
Considering Najman is a pro boxer and Pudzian took BJJ and boxing lessons to prepare for that fight, the technical level was mediocre. Also, those lowkicks didn’t exactly make me think Kyokushinkai, rather soccer.
Don’t get me wrong here, whatever works. It’s MMA, after all. Still, I was expecting a better fight.

It was exactly what I expected. although Pudz seems to have more killer instinct than I thought he would. Physically you could tell this was a mismatch, Pudz is a pharmed up, super conditioned 290 pounds, Nejman looks fat and smaller than most welterweights.

I don’t know. The man’s been training Kyokushinkai Karate for years as well as boxing. Still, I failed to see a single “clean” jab or anything that would be taught in any class. It was mostly wild swinging. Now I didn’t exactly expect him to be the next Sugar Ray Robinson, but this was meant to be a pro-fight, right? Like, Pro-Fighter…
Najman, on the other hand, makes a living from boxing AFAIK. Again, though, all his boxing ended after the first jab.
What I’m trying to get at is, you have to prepare for a fight. When I fight, it’s often up to 6 months of serious preparation for one event. Now if you can’t box, can’t properly kick, can’t grapple and can’t sprawl, the ring is propably not the place you should be in…
Standing next to Pudzian, I think everyone would lookm small ;).
Technically mediocre or not, those low kicks had to hurt like hell. That’s the most ass kicking I’ve seen in a while.
I was suprised by Pudzianowski with more work he could make for some entertaining fights, Id like to see him fight a more well rounded scrub, then step up and fight a decent HW like James Thompson or maybe Ron waterman. If he makes it out of that with a 3-0 record id like to see him fight in strikeforce maybe first fight in USA against Lashley.
