Sorry missed that
@vonko1988
No worries. Be sure to tag me when you decide to start TRT and your life changes. I love reading that shit
For sure. But Im sure the start will not be easy with me personally
Good shit man. By chance did you ever look for someone in the city? I ended up going with Defy because I couldn’t find any glowing reviews of someone here. It was really surprising.
What’s your E2 like injecting over 200mg?
There was a post on Reddit yesterday and several people recommended Dr. Michael Rotman in NYC, he is HRT specialist (Urologist). Looking on his website he takes insurance, which is not common for HRT specialist.
I go to Maze Men’s Health, which so far I am happy with. I still don’t know what it’s gonna cost me as they did put claims into my insurance. They are out of network and my insurance will cover 80% of out of network costs but it’s not clear what I will actually pay yet while I wait for that to all play out.
Thanks man - I will check both out. Crazy about this Dr Rotman guy popping up, years ago I read nobody in the city came recommended for TRT.
@bigmistake2
My total T is 1996 and E2 is 77. I have lost significant body fat and gained significant muscle mass and feel great ever since I let E2 ride. It drives me nuts seeing 10 new threads a day talking about E2 when the people have no clue what they are talking about. I was one of them for a very long time as well so no hate.
I’m reluctant to let a doc tell me how to TRT after the previous experience I’ve had and the experience others have shared here. I’d rather have control of my own and just go to a regular doc for labs when needed. Definitely not what I’d recommend for everyone.
Wow, I gotta say, that’s more than I expected. Did you ever stop at ~1000 or anything in between? Nearly 2000 out of 200mg though is impressive.
When I backed down to 100mg, within 2 weeks my TT was already at 500. I felt it, and back up I went.
@bigmistake2
I didn’t get bloods when I tried a lower dose so I don’t know. I didn’t feel any difference at 100mg than I did pre-trt but I did have total T of almost 600 though so maybe that’s why. Anyway, I didn’t feel optimal so two-hunda-roosky it is.
Everyone has a different dose that gets them optimal. For some 100 seems to be better than 200. Whatever feels best without too many negative symptoms.
Doc Roty is great, we have worked with him for years. You gotta live in the tristate area though to use him.
@increasemyt - I go to a urologist for my treatment and have generally been pleased… But I’m more doing things how I want to with my dose based on what I read here. I guess I’m not unhappy since I get more T prescribed than I take…and he’s generally good when I tell him I may have upped my dose some, or changed frequency…but out of curiosity, do you work with or recommend any doctors in MA? One that would take insurance is preferred.
I’m in the city so even better. I’m wary of anything but Defy and I’ve had a great experience so far, but insurance coverage would be nice.
That’s how I felt when I dropped to 100. About how I was when I started.
How did you talk your dr into taking you past the “upper range of normal?”
Well we don’t bill insurance directly but a lot of our guys get reimbursed for their program. They submit a claim to the insurance and then we provide the code they need.
Wether you get covered or not is completely up to your insurance, but there is no reason you shouldn’t get reimbursed.
We do all 50 states.
I never asked him to do bloods since starting TRT. I do my own with discount labs or have a gp do them. I don’t think he’d care since he prescribed me TRT when I had a total T of almost 600 and many of his clients are competing bodybuilders but I never wanted to risk it since I basically have the perfect setup for me. It’s basically a $150/month TRT mill unless you want him to be more involved. I’ve got several people to go to him and they have the same thing going. He takes initial pre-trt bloods as well as a questionaire about how you feel and then prescribes based on that. For many people though a place like defy or @increasemyt 's people are probably a better fit especially when getting dialed in.
Do u have high or low SHBG levels?
Great levels of shbg, im envious, no wonder you feel great on TRT. Im still struggling with my shitty SHBG
@equel
I didn’t feel “good” until I started daily injections. Even EOD didn’t do it.
