Hi everyone!
I’m 64 and on TRT, 100 mg Sustanon and 50 mg of Deca per week. (The Deca have made wonders for my worn-out knees) I’ve been thinking about doing a “TRT+” (6-8 weeks) ie bumping the Sustanon up to 200 and adding Proviron to lower SHBG to get a bit more free test. Now the question: I read somewhere that Proviron binds quite hard to the receptors so it’s enough to take about 50mg twice a week to keep the SHBG at bay. Any truth in that or do I need to take it daily? I’ve done a few cycles long time ago and 200mg a week didn’t cause any problems regarding the estrogen then so no need to use it as an AI.
TIA
What is SHBG now? Why do you need it to be lower? Are you experiencing issues related to low FT?
Hi Swoops39
I don’t know my SHBG, the hospital were I checked my T only checked for total T (according to the doc, did it in Thailand)it was 826 and I took 125mg/week then (Sustanon), I added the Deca a bit after and lowered the T. The only reason for the Proviron is that I want to maximize the available T since I’m only taking 200mg/week. If Proviron twice a week is as effective as ed, why spend more
I wouldn’T take it without knowing what your SHBG is first. Super low SHBG is not great and may require you to inject your testosterone more often, or up you dose.
