Zeb: Good idea 'bout the bible. I usually only pick mine up twice a week but I should read it more. I haven’t read the whole thing yet.

i read “winning the arms race” once.
For something completely different, you should check out Douglas Hofstadter’s “Godel, Escher, Bach”. It’s a bit of a mindfuck, and will take you a while to read, but it’ll definitely expose you to new ideas.
Just wanted to mention that alot of these older books are out of copyright, so you can find them for free on the net if you don’t mind reading from a monitor or printing. www.bibliomania.com has several.
