Propecia = Low DHT = Chronic Prostatitis

Hay guys, love this forum been reading up for the past few weeks

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my problem.

I’ve been taking propecia for about 5 yrs (26) with no worries… in the last 2 years it started to lose its effectiveness so on advice from hairloss forums I upped the dose form 1 mg (recommended) to 2 mgs…

Everything seemed fine except for the fact that I could feel that the drug was hitting me way more intensely…

To summarize I developed chronic prostatitis as diagnosed from a urologist…

I immediately stopped taking the drug and over a period of 1-2 months the my prostate started getting better…

But because I don’t want to go bald I started taking a quarter dose (0.25mgs), first two days nothing but now as it stands I have the prostate problem again…

I really don’t want to mess with my hormones in case of causing permanent damage but it sounds stupid but I also don’t want to go bald…

My cousin was really into bodybuilding and messed with a lot of stuff, he had a similar prostate problem not from propecia and what he did is masturbate repeatedly (clear out prostate) and took a shot of T… It worked out for him

I’m really in some trouble… Any help/advice would really be appreciated

(sorry for the long post)

Does no one know anything about this?

sounds like a dumb idea to me. You took it, it fucked you up so you came off, now you want to go back on it.

Thats true.

I just wanted some feedback to see if someone had a similar experience and whether it can be related to a low T level or something else.

Since i have been taking propecia for over 5yrs now.

Thanks for the reply

Get a wig or embrace it.

Its just hair.

Thats fair enough…

I find the change in appearance quiet scary, but yeah its up to me to correct that.

I just hope I haven’t done any permanent damage.

DHT makes you more of man then hair does brah.

Just embrace and if it REALLY bugs you, look into hair pieces. My dad has had one for 30 years and only 3 people know that hes actually bald. Im genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness and knew damn well that before I started taking steroids I would start to see some shedding. Its worth it to me tho, I love bodybuilding. That being said 8 weeks deep and while my hair is dry Im not seeing anymore shedding then I normally do.
