Hey DB,

How many grams of protein and simple carbs post-workout do you recommend for a fairly lean 265 pound male looking to gain lean mass?
I’d start with 50g hydrolysate and 120g fast carbs. Adjust as needed.

That’s a whole LOT of liquid volume!

Yesterday I mentioned that Davies seminar and his rapid assessment of my KB swing position.

It seems that I apply a huge torso lean to any hip extension movement I do. On top of that, my stance is always wider than shoulder width -perhaps wider than it needs to be.

I wonder if this is carryover from years of hockey and power skating, but it just feels “locked in” when I get my torso down to my quads with a nice wide stance.
Could be. Game stance in hockey or skating is crouched, so your hip flexors might be shortened + You developed a stance habit useful for those sports.

Dare I ask how much water I need to dillute that into?

Big Barr,

One other inquiry: Regarding Beta Alanine supplementation, is there a period of time between the start of consumption and the effects beginning, or is it pretty immediate, like a typical food product?

Also, any benefit/negative effect to taking one of the doses peri-workout in a drink?
Bauer, theoretically the effects should gradually increase in magnitude as we load our bodies with it. I had a nice placebo effect and started to feel the effects right away.

Then again, the neural recovery should be enhanced with the first dose.

How do you like it?

Barrbie and Ken wanted to say Hi to Barrney and Friends…

So did I. Hi.

BA sounds pretty tight.

Getting all excited again!

I already told you; LOTS!
I’d start with 1L and keep drinking. It’s basically impossible to consume enough water to adequately dilute the mix, but deal wiht it as best your body will allow. No puking!

Do they have machines to test for nutrient content, pesticides, etc. commercially available? They’re probably mucho denero.

There might be something like that at my school - what would I ask for?

Gracias

Hey guys,
Here’s a rather nutrition oriented question for you. A few of them actually.

I’ve been thinking of going on an EC stack. No HOT-ROX in stock for a while, so you know how it is. I am going to do 25mg ephedrine/200mg caffeine anhydrous once per day and work up to two, possibly three, depending on my reactions. My first question: Will this be a good idea to take while doing OVT? I just finished week 1 after doing Fat to Fire II and Lactic Acid Training.

While on FTF2 i was on around 2500 kcal. LAT I was at around 2700. Now I am around 3000. Suggestions on kcal intake for a stance of maintaining the fat loss I gained during the past two months while gaining as much lbm as possible while doing OVT?

Also, figure’d i’d toss in an old creatine question. Would this be too much? Counterproductive? I bought Alpha Male and when my M runs out, I am going to start a cycle of that. I have enough Methoxy-7 to last me two months, and I am thinking of doing an EC stack on top of ZMA and the regular vitamins.

Is my kcal too small for this? Should I cut something out of the stack?

Also, what oils are good besides flax and fish? I was looking for sunflower but couldn’t find any. What the hell is CLA?

Ok, that should keep you busy.

Thanks TONS.

I like it a lot, especially knowing there’s actually some science behind it. I do feel my strength between sets comes back a little quicker, now I’m just waiting for this effect to translate into hypertrophy. Any suggestions on timing of when to take it? Morning, pre/post/peri workout, with/without food? Also trying to figure out how cost effective 7g/day is, I really wish they sold it in large quantities…

Ask around for a “GC/MS”, but unless your Uni has a prof specifically looking at your desired parameters, it’ not really something they can do.

Check out what the profs study-that’s your best first bet.

Wow, that’s a lot of questions! This is the kind of program design service I provide on my site, but let’s see if we can’t get you a few answers.

EC is cool, but I despise the idea of trying to put in muscle while cutting. It unnecessarily compromises both. Maybe I misunderstood your intent.

If you’re trying to maintain the same level of fat loss, then stick with the Cal level you were using and see how your body responds -adjust as needed.

Creatine is fine-discussed in the recent article.

Everything else is fine, including your supplemental oils.

We don’t know enough about CLA for me to suggest it at this point, so I’d call it a “questionable fat”.

Okay, that wasn’t too painful. :stuck_out_tongue: Hope it makes sense!

From what we know, timing isn’t an issue. More frequent doses seem to prevent tingling if you have it.

Thanks for the report!

Thanks all, I’m off for this week.

2 weeks till Staley bootcamp!
