Last week, RoadWarrior asked about my Beta Alanine usage. I use 3-4 grams twice a day mixed in water.
Absorption might be better when you’re protein fasted, but if you are, then you have bigger problems than BA absorption. LOL
So, what does Beta Alanine do? I’ve never heard of it.[/quote]
Makes you strong as a BeARR.
Hey Dave, if you’re in Texas, you have SBUX. I have to believe that you were pulling Mike’s leg on the BARRista comment, no? I mean, come on, what do you do, just BARRicade yourself up? Do you live in a BARRel or maybe a BARRAcks?
JSB, Beta Alanine is like creatine in that it helps with short term anaerobic performance. Although it doesn’t have the cell volumization that creatine does, it has an antioxidant effect that could specifically enhance neural recovery.

As a recent change, for my morning meal (which these days is about 5:00PM), I’ll throw 2 scoops of Low-Carb Grow! in with my oatmeal. I fill the bowl up with milk, let it soak in and eat.
I’m not a huge fan of hot oatmeal in the summer, so no heating is necessary.
Right now, I’m using StrawBarry and Chocolate combined, just as I do before bed.
There was a recent thread about how to eat more calories in a day. The most obvious choice is to simply eat more fat because it is twice as Calorically dense as Protein and CHO’s.
Personally I don’t find that this works, because fat also slows digestion. So if I have a high fat meal, I’m full for the next 5 hours, which isn’t conducive to anything.
Instead, I prefer a combination of all three macronutrients, with moderate fat.
If want to add Calories and are having a hard time eating all that fat, lighten up and go for balance.
Dave, I thought BA was had more to do with maintaining pH. Eventhough I see where your coming from about the antioxidative behavior by helping to prevent oxidative stress.
Something else pertaining to BA. I read somewhere that someone taking BA complained of itching in hands and/or feet and stopped taking it. I think he was taking to much if it bothered him that much. What do you think?

How do you feel about superdrol? With regards to diet, If a person had roughly a 3kcal a day mainenance diet what would you suggest for bulking while on superdrol or a similar PH?
Nate, that’s the beauty of BA; it performs several functions to enhance performance.

Some people get a tingling sensation when they first begin BA supplementation, but a lot of people actually like it!
For those that don’t like the feeling, smaller more frequent doses prevent this.
Give it a try and see how it works with your Strongman training!

fedaykin, you asked how I feel about superdrol… to be honest, I’m totally blown away that this stuff is available for sale. It seems that the powers that be made such a huge fuss to get this type of product banned, and then lets this product go.
I wonder how much longer it will be for sale and who will ultimately get burned for it.
ANYway… the stuff seems to work, as juice tends to do, which turns the answer into a question of dosage. At a 30mg dose I’d nearly double my Cals for bulking, because I wouldn’t mind putting on a little fat. Hell, I could get rid of that with another Superdrol cycle.
Building muscle is an incredibly expensive process, WRT energy, so within reason, the more Cals the better.

Doc, it’s cool that you bring up the PM issue, because you’re the one person I’m intentionally NOT responding to. LOL
As far as the move, I’m hoping to get out of Dodge ASAP. Since my gym membership has been cancelled, there’s not much for me here. Besides, I haven’t seen my GF in 3 months.
If my packing progress continues I’ll be out of here tomorrow, or more likely, Friday morning.
Sadly, the bulk of my stuff to pack consists of books and research papers.
Wait, did you call me Barrbie Doll…?

thank you very much for the reply. As for me, I’m more looking at using Superdrol to allow me to make it through the smolov squat cycle. I plan on 3 weeks w/20mg per day, 3 weeks PCT followed by another 4 weeks for the second half of the program with 20 mg per day. I’m not going to start this for another month or so. Alpha Male, milk thistle, M (on weekends while not on Alpha Male), CoQ10, milled Flax seeds, fish oils and protein powders like never before. anything else you might recomend to take with this?
oh yeah and I plan on at least 6 weeks of PCT after the whole deal. I would ideally like to start gaining strength again before I stop PCT.
