Primary Care vs Telepharmacy TRT

I don’t have a primary care physician. I started with DEFY Medical with low T levels (mid 2’s) and over the past 3 1/2 years they have balanced me out around 1000-1100. I feel good, and have no major problems.

I found a primary care doctor and had a chat with him and he poured scorn on telehealth TRT, and that I should just go to a local urologist but he wasn’t sure I needed injections.

That being said, when Defy wants a physical done, the urgent care walk-in clinic wasn’t willing to do the “genitourinary exam”, saying it should be done by a primary care dr.

What’s the answer? Can they not both coexist? It’s causing a problem.

Just walk into a place and ask for a physical. No need to tell them what it’s for. Your insurance will still cover it.

Your levels were in the 200’s, so don’t understand the comment about not needing injections.

There’s also a lot of negatives views on steroids deeply ingrained in society.

It’s really just ignorance and fear.

There is a need for telemedicine because the endocrinologists and urologists quite frankly aren’t as knowledge as they should be regarding men’s hormones. Another problem is doctors are trained in disease management, not men’s health.

A perfect example is my endocrinologists said my A1c at 6.9% is ideal, insulin resistance is perfectly alright because it’s trending to be the new normal with the diabetes pandemic sweeping this country of an overweight lazy population and sedentary lifestyles.

The point is we need better healthcare and telemedicine is an second option.

I went to a CVS minute clinic ($89) twice and told them everything, never had a problem.

I did mine at an emergency walk-in clinic. It was $20. They didn’t ask what it was for

As other’s have said, you could just get a physical, and at the end ask the receptionist for a copy of your physical (I think they have to give that to you if requested).

I just do TRT on my own because it is a lot easier. I will say figuring out sourcing and not panicking about the feds knocking on your door was tough for me to get over. Not really worried about that anymore though.
