Mufasa, it is no secret that I am not and never have been a fan of Barack Obama. But he was my President right or wrong and that was that. But on a campaign stop in Virginia on July 13 during the 2012 election he looked into the camera and said the following words: “If you have a business you didn’t build that . Somebody else made that happen.”
I worked for two straight decades 6 days a week 10 and sometimes 12 hours a day working to create my business. And I’m sorry to say that no one helped me. Just me and my wife. I began with nothing but a small bank loan which I paid a top interest rate for. When he said those words he spit directly in my face and in the faces of the thousands of entrepreneurs across the country. I thought. “this is the President of the United States talking like this? Who is this guy and where did he get such values”?
I cannot tell you how happy I am that Donald Trump (and it could have been anyone else) is going to dismantle everything that Obama has done. Which by the way is good for America.
Maybe I’m too sensitive. I never expected a big parade in my honor for being a success in business. I never even expected a pat on the back by anyone. But I surely never expected my President to insult me and denigrate my work by telling me I didn’t build my own business.
I honestly can’t tolerate such a philosophy coming from the White House. Especially from a man who had no real world accomplishments of his own. It was not like I was being insulted by a much more successful business person like Gates, Buffet, Trump, or the many other thousands who have exceeded me. I was being insulted by a left wing rabble rousing community organizer who is literally clueless when it comes to how someone succeeds in business. This was also proven out by the mountains of regulation heaped on small business people throughout the country.
I wish Barack Obama a happy retirement and a long and prosperous life. But I am as happy as I have ever been about any political event that this person that the country embraced so readily and with little knowledge of his background and lack of experience will no longer be the President in less than two months.
One…that quote has been twisted so out of it’s meaning and taken completely out of it’s full context by those who hated the President, that it’s not even worth arguing about it.
You hated the President…and most like still do.
It’s time for you an many others to move on…
In terms of total national influence…the concentration of Power is staggering…
From State Houses to Governerships…to both houses of Congress to the Presidency…and most likely to the Supreme Court…
The GOP and Conservatives have no excuses to not create a Utopia for you and your business to thrive, Zeb.

Funny you would say that because before I posted I went back and heard the entire quote again. It is spot on accurate. He literally does not understand entrepreneurship. One of many things he does not understand about America.
I certainly hate what he has done to America and what he has failed to do regarding the rest of the world.
Ready, willing and able to move on in exactly 56 days. Until that time he is fair game for comment and derision and I intend to do both. You do remember the left blaming Bush well into Obama’s first term. For some reason they never moved on did they?
That is true and I give Obama full credit for that. His left wing ideology didn’t turn out to be quite as popular as he once thought. Of course Hillary being the lousy candidate that she was gets part of the blame. Losing the Senate, House and so many state legislature seats and electing 34 republican Governors…well we can tag Obama for part of that…
I agree with you my friend. The last good republican President was Ronald Reagan and he created millions of jobs during his Presidency after Jimmy Carter showed his weakness through out the world and trashed our economy. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? I hope we get the same results with Trump.
Good luck to you as well keep in mind that a rising tide floats all boats!
Since I don’t know you and your friend, I will have to take your word for it, SkyzykS.
Your friend was most likely well on his way to doing that anyway.
And Zeb…the explosion of Technology (especially in 2007); and the power of Social Media/FB/Twitter/etc. alone would put anything that Bush experienced in the minor leagues compared to volume of vitriol and disrespect that this President has experienced.
Believe what you want…those are the facts…
Again; Trump is going to the President; the GOP and Conservatives have acquired enormous Power and Influence…so I will end this again by saying…
They need to STFU and Govern…(and maybe grab some p*ussy along the way…)
No, he wasn’t. He really was as offended as Zeb has expressed. This is a die-hard liberal Jew I’m talking about. The thing that isn’t obvious to non business owners is that this quote from Obama was the banner under which an attack was launched to finally start squeezing small businesses for their “fair share”. Gov. Rendell in PA came out with his own version- duplicitously saying “Small businesses are our greatest source of revenue…” then launched into them for the states revenues (taxes), not to help them as revenue generators for the economy as a whole- which is the way it was presented.
He helped by changing the rules on how small businesses are structured, and cost them an extra 10K per year in state taxes.

"…Then it’s time for all of these GOP Federal and State Legislators to correct it all, SkyzykS…
In other words…govern…[/quote]
And I don’t say this flippantly, SkyzykS.
The Left has a helluva’ lot to learn from the Right in this Country.
The way it works is that if you don’t like something…Vote…and Vote the Sumbitches’ out you don’t like…
THEN hold them accountable.
Whining after the fact; and calling for wasteful recounts after-the-fact; is not how it works.
See, that is where my confidence in government disappears. Like the with the Patriot act, once Obama got an eyefull of the power and political capital behind that, there was no way it would be revoked.
No politician in their right mind plays a card that carries any value without a plan to get more in return. The ones of lesser value are just for appeasement.
That is why I don’t believe we will see any quick dismantling or end to the ACA. The republican party and its constituent politicians have way more sway by holding it hostage than by killing it.
The ACA is to Trump as The Patriot Act was to Obama.
It was hilarious. Had TYT, CNN, Stephen Crowder, Daily wire and the BBC open that night. The Young Turks were most hysterical, but the BBC was the last to declare victory for Trump, it was absurd stuff at 3am GMT on the BBC.
A real estate developer always stays a real estate developer…
I think it’s pretty obvious Trump will use the Oval Office only as a vehicle to expand his business empire - something along the lines of “you’d refuse a building permit to the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?”
Coupled with the fact that he’s ignoring daily intelligence briefings, things will get interesting.
And finally, for those who said “Trump will destroy ISIS”, it really seems that Trump is planning an offensive - a real estate offensive to be precise, by investing heavily into ME dictatorships financing ISIS:
I know for sure that you have never started your own business. That does not make you better or worse than me or anyone else. But it does tell me that you really don’t understand the disrespect felt when the President of the United States says, “You didn’t build that…someone else did that for you”
It was a comment that was uncalled for and did not one thing to help anyone. Does Obama even know that about 67% of all people are employed by small business.
Instead of being a cheerleader and motivator like Ronald Reagan he was a de-motivator and an instigator. How many blacks were rioting prior to Obama? ZERO. Yes…I know he had nothing to do with any of it–GOT IT
But unfortunately Obama, never got it. He never fell into the job. He remained a community organizing rabble rousing, trouble maker when it came to domestic issues. And his legacy will show this and more. Not right away because he is a black liberal so it will take time. But, eventually they will tell the truth and the truth for Obama is very ugly.
But it does build Jill Steins image and also possibly her bank account. This is apparently the way the liberal elite make money. No? I only need say Clinton Foundation.
You have no proof of that. You are sour grapes that he won. Really…come up with something better than this. Hey …I just had an idea for you. Why don’t you wait until he is actually in office for say a month or two before you come down on him.
This is the opposite of what the left did when Obama was elected. He could do no wrong it was all Bush’s fault.
Tell you what loppar you know I like to make bets. I will bet you one year away from posting that Isis will be wiped out within Trumps first two years.
This is a good way to rid me of PWI for one full year if you really believe that you are correct.
Take me up on it.
I know what is going to go down and you don’t my friend
It’s isn’t a question of whether ISIS can be “wiped out”. One Carrier Group could lay waste to the whole Middle East 100 times over.
It’s a question of at what cost to civilians (ISIS embeds and uses human shields), cities, infrastructure, the environment (as these guys have proven to be burners of oil rigs; poisoners of water supplies and the like, etc.); international relationships, American Military Lives…the list goes on and on…
The Middle East (as I’m sure President Trump will soon find out, if he hasn’t already), is a place where you pull one string and 10 other things fall apart.
Trump, Flynn and Putin can go in there with Tomahawk’s blazing…but at what ultimate cost?
