Powerful Images - Our Own Choices

TC has alluded to this before…

A “Powerful Image” is what ever it elicits in YOU. Even if it elicits “It does nothing for me” discussion, then its done it’s job.

It has NEVER been said that they were meant to encourage you to lift! (When was THAT made up?)

Many tend to be sexual in nature, because that is such a primal and powerful instinct within all of us.

Great thread, All Traps, and it been intriguing to follow. I hope you have more pics!

Thanks bro, you’re totally right…it’s not meant to strike a chord with others, it’s what does so for me. And the reasons behind are my reasons. If it fails to register with others, so be it.

Some posted in response do nothing for me. Some like the Do Not Want one where he’s slitting his eyes, hit me. That was seriously disturbing. As was the soldier with writing on an upside down flag.

Great contributions from others. I’ll add in some of more soon.

For fans of the Hellraiser series of films, I found this site some time ago. The artist replicates non-moving boxes found in the movie. They are very well made, far better than the competitors. And one day I will own them all.

Something about this site, even though it’s completely false…if it were true…
Letting the imagination run wild as you hold one of the boxes…that’s powerful

This box is the Lament Configuration (one most shown in the 8 Hellraiser movies).

Misery’s Canticle

This I have in a musical box variety. It plays serene song which makes it all the more creepy.

If you’ve ever read this man’s autobiography, which was one of the best books I’ve read, you may be able to understand why this image is “powerful”

and it’s not because it appears on $100 US bills.

Technology is a funny thing

It’s inspiring and something to get excited about
But something wrong about it as well

Just one example -
Soon we won’t be driving our own cars. They’ll drive us.

If you’ve watched the Matrix series of movies, or too many end of the world type movies where dumbshit humans destroy the planet…well

And if somehow Mr. Gore in all his information is correct…
You have to wonder if/when we’ll realize it started sometime between 25 years ago and 25 years from now.

Cool pic - bluetooth laser keyboard which can work on any flat surface.

If you’ve ever eaten one of these…

then you have to wonder if they commission mentally unstable individuals to create their toys

because who could come up with this shit as a job?

I understood this thread as being Powerful Images we’d choose for T-Nation, not just powerful images to us. Any parent will think pictures of his kids to be “Powerful Images…” and to him, they are.

If the goal is simply to elicit a response, then the Goatse.cx guy is probably the most powerful image known to man. No one has no response to that one.

You’re looking at an overhead photo. The camels you see are the shadows of the actual camels seen from above.

“Pics can be anything that you feel is “powerful” (gals, muscle, scenery, art, whatever)”

“Please, do not post pics that already appear in the Powerful Images section on this site”.
