The only use I could think for them would be a want to step up and rip my arm right out of it’s socket, then run around the gym spurting blood (or maybe just walking casually with air of arrogance and superiority).

I haven’t seen Orion, but Kwan is one of the very key characters in RahXephon. A true Sci/fi anime masterpiece that should be enjoyed wide awake with a notepad in hand.
