The dark camel image in the photo is actually the shadow of the real camel. Follow the dark camel image down from the hump to the end of their legs. At this point lies the real camel. Possibly the angle of the sun when the photo was taken. You can actually make out riders on some of the camels by looking at the dark shadow image. I can make out two riders myself, but there may be more.

I get the cammel one now. The sun is setting from the bottom of the screen and what you see is the shaddows. The little things at the base of the shaddows are the cammels.
