How’s this.

And not to leave the Harley boys out, here I am on my '65 panhead. Photo taken by my husband on his '47 Indian (as was the previous one).

Gojira,
I really like your thread. I don’t know if anyone else has made this observation yet, but the juxtaposition of your thread with the “powerful image” babe on the left with the "come hither look on her face, back arched and body ready for action along with the images you and others are posting of truly athletic women competing in strength sports really emphasizes your point. I love irony!

And it is disappointing that so many still don’t “get it”. We are constantly fighting this battle. Look at what has happened with womens bodybuilding. Every contest advertisment I see now also has a “figure competition” and perhaps “bikini divas”. Gotta have those slim, non-threatening babes in high heels on stage to bring in the crowds. The sponsers don’t care about the “sport”. They care about selling tickets and other crap. I read that the NPC is now going to ask its female competitors to reduce their muscle mass by 20%. What the hell? Are they gonna make the men do this too? Can you imagine them doing something like this in a powerlifting federation? No you can’t because they treat the females just like any other athlete, as they should be.

that is a seriously cool bike. I really like the way the Indians looked.
Thanks.

My question about this is: when you’ve got the top female bodybuilders turning into the same sort of hideous mass monsters the men are due to overconsumption of chemicals, how is that a good thing at all?
I miss the days of Cory, Rachel and Juliette before.
Muscular, strong, worked their asses off but were still shapely.
Or even “Ms. Beast” for that matter.

First off gojira I would like to say that I almost completely agree with you, so do not take this as an attack please

It is not necessarily that the promotors do not support or care about women’s bodybuilding. Most promotors are hardcore freaks to begin with. There is not enough of a base of support in any one place for female bodybuilding. It is different for powerlifting where we can make do with a bball court. As a spectator sport bb needs crowd room, and crowd room costs lots of money. Most people-even gym rats-do not want to see shemen. Remember Jill Mills is one of my heroes, but I do not want to see someone with more muscle than her mostly naked! I would call it intimidating to most people-but I do not think that is the case. A male bb is grossly exaggerating his own hormonal system, a female is introducing a Male hormone. I do NOT have a problem with “enhancement”-Jill Mills-YES, Becca Swansen-NO! Promotors Must cover their costs. At this point about the only way to “save” womens bb commercially is to reduce it’s maleness. I may be ranting, but it is a little unreasonable to expect promotors to pay out of their own pockets for something so few want to see. Supply and demand, cause and effect.

I want to see female athletes, not shemen!

My response to this alway is - drug test everyone. Build the cost into the price of entering the competition. It would increase the credibility of the sport. But they won’t do that because the Male Freak Show sells tickets. Combine this with a bikini contest and you’re in business. The whole things become a joke.

I couldn’t agree more.

Oh HELL NO maybe we should start applauding all the QEERS that take estrogen (THE FEMALE HORMONE) to become SHE/MALES as I see no difference betwwen them and the SHE/males created from what used to be Female from the use of the MALE HORMONE in excess .You can say they are bodybuilders not transgender FREAKS But in an attempt to get the same benefits from hormonal supplementation as men do they end up having A CHEMICAL SEX CHANGE just the same as the transgender crowd And i see no reason for applause their my friend .

FEMALE BODYBUILDERS AT THIS LEVEL ARE THE SAME AS QEERS THAT TAKE ESTROGEN TO BECOME WOMEN END OF STORY !!!

You guys obviously don’t get the purpose of the Powerful Images. It is not just to show people performing incredible acts of strength or people with great bodybuilt physiques. It is to celebrate all things testosterone driven. An image of an incredibally hot woman is VERY powerful to a testosterone-laiden man. The images are all meant to make us look at the photo and go, DAMN, however it goes about doing that. The hot women are my favorite powerful images, because that motivates me to build my body more than seeing a huge ripped guy.

Thank you to whomever started this thread!!!

Powerful images does not mean half naked chick with big boobs and a firm ass. People are motivated by lots of different images. For me those types of soft porn are not motivating at all. In fact they are exactly the stereotypes that I myself am working against. The ideal that in order to be an attractive female you have to look like that.

There are very few serious females left here and it is sad. You want to call the females here T-Vixens. However, I assure you that if those “powerful images” are the standard for what a T-Vixen is than I do not qualify and I’m ok with that. Don’t get me wrong, I clean up all right, but to me squatting 465 last week was far more important than maintaining a pin up girl physique.

The fact of the matter is that there are lots of beautiful women who don’t look like they jumped out of a porno. Lots of beautiful female athletes. I think that many readers would rather see a women involved in some feat of strength than the roided out bodybuilder females that end up on the powerful images.

Beauty is not defined as 36-24-36 in a thong.

You’re welcome!
Thanks for responding Erika. I was hoping you’d show up. I’d like to see more women with your kind of stats posting here, but I don’t think it will happen. I found the powerlifting pics you posted very motivating. I don’t know if you’ve read through this entire thread, but apparently the moderators don’t feel that images of athletic women meet their criteria unless they “have a nice body, nice face or are cute”. So there ya go.

Yes, read the entire thread. It is very sad that most of these photos don’t fit the “criteria”, and unfortunately this way of thinking is the exact reason that so many of the knowledgable females veterans of this site do not post here anymore.

Those pictures are not every females “ideal body”. Some of those pics are even unrealistic for many females.

I remember when I first signed on here and read the T-Vixen Roundtables. They were the most inspirational thing I had ever read. They bannished all the stereotypes and myths. T-Mag and those articles are the very reason I got truly serious about lifting and started powerlifting. It is sad to see that way of thinking is gone from here.

How about 56-36-50 in a lace teddy?

'kay, I’m a smart ass.

that’s definitely impressive! I’m jealous!!!

I move for more pictures of our own “powerful images”! (again. And I second the previous motion on the table…I think it was Gojira?)

How about this. Lets not take ourselves so damned seriously. There doesn’t seem to be room any more for just plain old goofing off.

I mean seriously, strength training and bodybuilding are a big part of my life, but not the only part. There are a lot of other things that fit into my existance as well.

Humor is one of them. Not just the fart and booger joke type humor either, but real humor. The act of being human.Being able to laugh at myself and others for our basic human inadequacies. It makes for a great common bond.
Unfortunately it looks like one of the greatest inadaquecies here is a lack of humor.Political correctness and an overwhelming need for respect seem to have slowly but surely whittled away at any sense of humor that might rear its goofy looking head around here.

LIGHTEN UP DAMNIT!
Or I’m gonna log off and never return.
This shit is realy becoming a downer.

Joe-There are lots of pics from my gym on the “Diablo Experience” thread, and the “More Diablo Barbell” thread.

What part of “Powerful Images” of half nakes chicks is meant to be funny. There is no humor in it, and to suggest that the females here should not expect to be respected is complete and total bullshit.

I too love to joke around, and when something is funny I laugh. However, nothing is funny in this situation. there are plenty of websites that cater to soft porn. Does this really need to be one as well?
