Don’t think he means its bad to have awesome physiques on there. Its just there aren’t very many of the other kinds of photos like Strongmen etc. I remember one of a guy deadlifting that was simply awesome. Balance is the key. Not just babes and hyoooooooge guys.[/quote]

Conor,
Don’t look now, but there’s a big dog right behind you who’s about to swallow you whole.

C’mon DB, the chick who sang in Milli-Vanilli wasn’t that built.

Thanks for another girl on a bike Massif!
This weekend I will definately be out looking to get some.

all-natural bodybuilder Tom Venuto. This is a pretty powerful image to me. Something that is attainable too.

I was kinda thinkin that back (today’s Powerful Image, not the teenie bopper on the bike) looked like Gojira…long dark hair, big ass erectors and traps…

Big Dave, the Powerful Image is an option.

You can turn it off in the “customize” section of the site.

In fact, as of recently, the default for the Powerful Image is “off” so if new members want to see it, they have to customize their profile and turn it on.

Word! I’ve had it turned off since I decided to register. Have to remain PC at all times now for fear of having my ballsack ripped from my groin by the first woman who steps into my office. Not to mention having to explain to all the fellows in my group why a half naked guy in a bikini is on a web page I’m always perusing.

I could be wrong, Prof, but I think his point was to the site saying one thing about those competitors and then using the very same (types of) people in the Powerfull Images. Suggesting that it is double-minded.

At least that’s what I took from it. I’m giving nolecat the benefit of the doubt on that.

Either way, it’s not exactly my opinion.

Does anyone reading T-Nation find it a bit hypocritical that the staff constantly ridicules these bloated, hair frosted, nut shrinking, “Flex” reading, bodybuilders(as they should be ridiculed)…yet they are always posting pictures of these tools as their “Powerful Images.” How about some olympic lifters, powerlifters, worlds strongest men…basically people who actually train hard. No more bikini wearing, bronze coated, gym asses.

My opinion, bodybuilding INCLUDES the guys who compete. Why would you exclude competitors? Does it make you feel inferior? There are several people who visit this site that have competed or who may in the future. How does this not fall in line with what this site is about? I haven’t seen them post pics of guys with “frosted hair”, but then I don’t pay attention as closely as you obviously are to “shrunken nuts” or their “bronze colored asses”.

Post a pic of Mike Ashley and if you look better than that, then complain.

I understood what he meant, and I am even challenging that same idea from the writers on this site. Why avoid competitive bodybuilding or put it in any more of a negative light than it places itself?

I don’t buy the mags anymore. They don’t inspire me to train the way they did when I would flip through one in high school and Lee Haney, Renel Janvier, and Lee Labrada made me feel like I needed to hit the gym immediately. I can only imagine the confusion of the average guy just getting into weight lifting because the promoted images are either 300lbs super freaks OR 180lbs male models in Men’s Health. I probably never would have gotten this involved in weight lifting if today’s promoted images were all I saw.

However, I would hope the educated would be able to know the difference and help promote a more balanced and positive image. I do follow NPC events because most of the competitors aren’t super-freaks…yet. I still have motivation to get in that condition. Why not help a more positive image along instead of grouping all competitive bodybuilding into one group (the gay-spandex undershort wearing…with glitter group) and then all power lifters in another? This site is still about bodybuilding and strength training. The original poster seemed to imply that it doesn’t take really heavy weights and years of dedication to get arms over 20"…even if they diet down for a stage. That concept is false.

I like women’s asses just like the next man, and I don’t even have my settings allowing the pics to be shown. It is bad enough that people walk into my office and see TESTOSTERONE on the screen (with all of the negative thoughts that brings forth now-a-days), they don’t need to see bent over ass or guys in thongs. I just think that if you are going to have a “strong image” on a bodybuilding forum, excluding all competitive bodybuilders or speaking of them badly as if they are all the same is just bad form…especially on a site like this.

Would this work?

That’s not powerful at all…unless a paper bag is included.

Kinda looks like she is trying to push a dump.

There…now she’s perfect.

I’m thinking she got those traps by shoulder shrugging with just her boobs.

And the moral of the story is that we should only have hot girls in the Powerful Images section.

No need to waste our time with pics of guys.

No shit.

Bring back the girl on the bike. Looking at that ass got me out of the house on a Friday Saturday night.

Yes! Anyone know who she is?
