TC,
I think the powerful image was a good idea. However I know that you can only use so much space for making a site. I think you would be better off getting rid of this feature and bringing back the think tank or something.

And the moral of the story is that we should only have hot girls in the Powerful Images section.
No need to waste our time with pics of guys.
No shit.
Bring back the girl on the bike. Looking at that ass got me out of the house on a Friday Saturday night.
I swear - what is this site coming to? We had the Think Tank Dialogues, and nobody read them. Then they brought them back - and nobody read them. Now someone wants to do away with the PI’s and bring back the Think Tank dialogues - again.
Maybe you could post Oprah’s Book of the Month selections in the PI space, or Hints from Heloise, or maybe the daily Garfield comic strip.
On the Garfield note:
An idea might be the Musclehedz cartoons by John Gleneicki. They’re quite amusing and certainly in line with T-Nation. Of course I don’t know how conceivable it would be to get a contract or whatever.

The problem with the think tank dialogues is that there were too many going on at once - pretty dense reading for most members here, and a lot to look over and consider for the contributors. Why not make a form section called “Geeky Science Discussions” or something like that? Then, more than 5 could be open for discussion at once, and they wouldn’t disappear before the contributors could put thought into responses (not that the responses were bad, before, just few and far between sometimes)?

I like powerful images…
I don’t know, but even taking “too much” juice, I’d imagine it’s extremely difficult to get that large, shredded and proportional.
I agree about wanting to see more PL photos or strong man (along with huge BBs). Couldn’t you just cut the wide pics showing the lifter and one side of the weight being lifted?
Seing half still shows the incredible strength. I don’t know, just a thought. Personally I like most of them now. No one is going to like all of them.
Well, I dunno if this is a good idea, but who says that there can’t be 2 powerful images one atop the other?
If it’s too hard finding cool vertical images, just stack 2 horizontal ones.
A babe and a mass monster. Then everybody’s happy and they can jack off to whatever they like best.

Does anyone reading T-Nation find it a bit hypocritical that the staff constantly ridicules these bloated, hair frosted, nut shrinking, “Flex” reading, bodybuilders(as they should be ridiculed)…yet they are always posting pictures of these tools as their “Powerful Images.” How about some olympic lifters, powerlifters, worlds strongest men…basically people who actually train hard. No more bikini wearing, bronze coated, gym asses.[/quote]
My opinion, bodybuilding INCLUDES the guys who compete. Why would you exclude competitors? Does it make you feel inferior? There are several people who visit this site that have competed or who may in the future. How does this not fall in line with what this site is about? I haven’t seen them post pics of guys with “frosted hair”, but then I don’t pay attention as closely as you obviously are to “shrunken nuts” or their “bronze colored asses”.
Post a pic of Mike Ashley and if you look better than that, then complain.
The PI could be cropped so that it fits the size limits of the home page, but if you wanted to see the entire pic the archieve could hold the real deal.

O.K., I know you can’t use this, but I had to post it. It’s from the March 2005 Milo issue. Refrigerator races from the 2004 WSM contest.

But I think you can use this one. From the All Strength Nations Challenge 2004 - Jon Andersen: Team USA.
I gotta get to more mountain biking events.
I put the powerfull images in with the Atomic Dogs. They get me thinking and responding. I consider that a good thing.
But if that one powerfull image was riding in front of me, I would most likely crash worse than usual.
The P.I. changed as I was typing that last one.
TC- You Rule! Hands down end of story. Thats freakin awesome.

Holy new Powerful Images Batman! Those buns are powerful indeed.
I think sometimes they qualify as a “Powerful Image” because of how ridiculous some of these people look.
If I look at some freak who’s way out of proportions that’s powerful because it reminds me to keep my training balanced.
I wish people had to actually go through a full thought process before posting something like this. Are you just looking for attention? If so, go post your pic in the Vixens section and ask them how hot you are, you’ll get tons of attention that way.
and lets not forget…
TUBESTEAK BOOGIE!

About the Powerful Images at work thing, I actually created another account so I can look at the powerful image at work without having to mess around with settings every time I go home. It works and it’s easy, and I’m Laxxone if anyone wondered

I think there should be two images posted regularly-a powerful image with a real strength athlete like nolecat says and then an eye candy image-with a model of either sex that just hits the mark-it can be male one day and female the next…my .02 cents.
Just don’t critque this website because it kicks ass and there is nothing like it-it is like rolling stone used to be before the magazine market got flooded-FHM, Maxim, etc. Attached is me and my very powerful buddy, pro strongman Charlie Kaptur on the left-I am loading the stone on the right?
