Ahhhhh don’t say that haha. What were your symptoms leading up to the getting diagnosed with your brain tumor? I’m all for the capri pant idea though…

Stopped there. It’s been a rough week, Tuesday I stopped after bench…was literally watching the ceiling run around in circle, since then been periodically dizzy and getting pretty decent size headaches, been sleeping more and have had less energy than normal. I didn’t dare to train through the week, with the exception of cardio and stretching, mobility stuff. Have a big headache as I type this, was supposed to work up to a heavy DL and start some shirted work tomorrow but we’ll have to see how I feel in the AM.

…[/quote]
PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!!

Nah man, I did start getting headaches and dizziness though…but the thing that got me into the Doc’s was one day I ended up having 3 nuts…Seriously I was 1/3 more than man than was before…it ended up being a blood clot…which led to blood testing, showing reduced kidney activity, then extremely high BP, then my nipples started to hurt and I got lumps behind them, which led to more blood tests which led to an MRI of my Pituitary gland, where they found the tumor…

So basically, if you are still rolling with an ambiguously gay duo instead of the 3 amigos I think you are ok for now!

I’m pretty sure my story differs from other people’s though…

Shit man, I hope you’re feeling better soon. Did they rule out Vertigo as well?

On a positive note, if you ever decide to compete in a meet that’s taking place on stormy seas your training is way ahead of the game.

@Alpha
Haha, I love your positivity, to be honest, I don’t care what it is…it’s killing my training. I went into the gym today with ED and had no motivation or energy, not that I felt capable of lifting much but I just didn’t want to be there either. That’s just not me…and I hate the feeling!

Your tumor isn’t cancerous I’m guessing? Are they treating it somehow or just observing?

@Rugger
She checked my ears etc. but never really said that it had been ruled out, that said the dizziness hasn’t been a predominant symptom…its mostly the headaches, no nausea or spinning. So it doesn’t seem like the likely cause.

It isn’t showing signs of it so they are still observing and being passive about it…only time will tell what it ends up being…

Anyway i hope you can get back to the gym soon and become motivated again…we are still racing to 5/6/7

@Alpha
We’re still racing to a 700 deadlift, the 5/6 aren’t even close! Medical Diagnostics called today, they’ve got me booked in for a CT on the 29th…don’t honestly feel like waiting that long so I might go to ER tonight and see what they can do for me.

All that said, I did some misc. arm junk today and energy felt good…lifts are probably down from inactivity and the CNS is a little foggy but I hope to be back to regular lifting early next week, am drawing up my new program as I type this…

Will be going in to do some GPP with the guys tomorrow and going in Sunday to spot/bitch at ED’dy.

Back at it for the most part…went in with the expectation of just doing some conditioning but headache felt under control so was able to get a bare bones upper body session in, not too disappointed with it. Everything felt pretty under trained and MP just felt weak…which it is; upper body has LOTS of work to do before I’m happy with it, hopefully in time for Westerns in November. On the positive, I am back to training, that’s a start.

Prowler drags (without the harness) were deadly, it had just rained so the friction on the asphalt was very high…80m was retarded.

Was tired of waiting so last night I went in to the ER, waited for about 5 hours but finally got some answers. The doctor put me in for a CT scan and I had the results in about 30 minutes, he was able to rule out a brain tumor and aneurysm (95% probability). To get a 100% confirmation on the absence of an aneurysm he would have to do a spinal tap and we both agreed that wasn’t necessary. I’m both relieved and frustrated as I still don’t have a solid diagnoses; more than likely I’m getting over a bug of some sort or fighting some acute (hopefully) tension headaches.

I’m impressed with the healthcare here; this is my first real experience with the system in Alberta. They took my case very seriously and were able to get me in for all the necessary tests (even at 4am). My doctor was great.

I see lots of Motrin, contrast showers, LAX ball work and chiropractic in my near future.

Sorry Alpha.

I had similar symptoms about a year ago, stiff neck, migrane level headaches and such. i went to a chiropractor, and it turns out i had whiplash from a car accident i had months before. i was to stubborn to go to a dr. so it continued to get worse. The chiropractor fixed me up though. a couple of months and i was as good a new. i’m not saying that’s your issue but it could be if you’ve had some sort of impact injury. just a thought.

@DS
Thanks for the advice man, the doctor actually recommended that as well…I definitely do have some rhomboid,1st rib and shoulder girdle tightness on my right side so that may be worth looking into. I did lots of LAX ball work on that area this weekend and the headaches seem to be less intense.

Only minor headache when I woke up this AM and 400mg of IBU killed that off. Not feeling what I would consider normal strength yet, but S/D felt quite good, especially my mobility on the squat as the singles with 463 all felt buried. Pace of the workout was slow as there was a lot of working in, helping guys with shirts/suits etc. but still got everything done eventually.

Easy session; bench isn’t where it was this time last year which is pretty disappointing, OHP was never strong and though my top set isn’t the limit…its within 20-30lbs of it. Need to get my right shoulder girdle looked at so I will be keeping OHP’ing light for the time being.

So are you still dying brother??? what is going on with your brains? All I picture is Arnold from Total Recall where he is pulling that junk out of his nose…

It might not be a tumor, but maybe it’s a tracking device…just sayin…

@Alfie

You missed my synopsis on Page 12, I even left a cute little video (thinking of you, as always).

Oh i saw that, i was just wondering if you were feeling any better

do you still have the headaches and dizziness?

@Alpha

Feeling a lot better, dizziness is completely gone and headaches are fading everyday, they no longer really affect my training. Still feeling weak as a kitten and have some imbalances to work out, but at least I can get back to training with some goals in mind.
