It says it should be, but it is hard to find a time later in the day with an empty stomach…
agreed…and i workout after breakfast…about an hour… and since your supposed to take Power Drive about 45 minutes before training im full of food. I dont know if it gets in my system.
breakfast becomes more important than Power Drive…even though it is a great supplement.
Just have Power Drive 15 to 20 minutes before a meal or training.
People get too hung up on empty stomach recommendations.
…yeah. It’s not so hard. If you train first thing in the morning, then take Power Drive right before breakfast. If you train later in the day, take it before your pre-workout meal.
I wasn’t very impressed with Power Drive to be honest, I thought NoXplode (and a few of it’s knockoffs) were better.
Although I have noticed that a lot of these products vary from package to package. I had a Orange flavor NoX, and it did nothing for me, but I tried some of my friend’s Blue-Raz and it kicked me in the ass…
Not exactly on topic, but my .02

Not sure exactly how to respond to this other than to say that you’re comparing apples to oranges.
If you want to get amped on Power Drive you need to add caffeine since this is what most people feel from most NO products. They are just jacked full of caffeine.
Power Drive on the other hand actually promotes CNS recovery.
Hmmm, not to sound like a fool, but I think I was misinformed about Power Drive…
Can you write a little more about it? I hate to think that I had completely written it off…
To be honest, I think Power Drive is much better for CNS recovery. It’s like a shower for my nerves. It completely takes away that drained feeling you get after a really taxing workout.
Get a Cortisol Rhythm test to check for adrenal fatigue. If you have trouble responding to stimulants like I do, you might not notice the effects of most supps anyway. I just got one done and am waiting on the results - I was on Prednisone for 7 months straight (max dose of 45 mg, tapered off) so there’s no question in my mind that I have some degree (probably severe) of adrenal fatigue.
I like Power Drive as part of a CNS recovery protocol - along with Vit C and a 20 min nap immediately post workout.
Power Drive was great in a sense that I felt more focused while on it than off. I’m a bit skeptical when it comes to supplements so I kept logs of workouts while on it one week and off the next. To me the effects were similar to Spike and I just felt a lot more focused on my lifts. Not sure how to gauge CNS recovery (what’s a cortisol rythm test anyway?)like some of you have posted but if you want a supp to actually help you focus and not have you ride a huge mega dose of caffeine Power Drive is a decent product.

If you want that jittery energy I would suggest Spike Shooter. It’s the same swift kick in the ass without the toxic side effect.
Power Drive is great for CNS recovery and for mental focus.
If I am going for an all out max I use Power Drive first then slam some Spike Shooter.
Plus I am always in a much better mood the next morning when I use Power Drive during my nightly workout…not sure why but I like it all the same ![]()
Hmm. Thanks for all the replies - I was thinking of using it more after workouts. I use Caffeine-Free Spike pre workout (I workout about 45 min. after waking). I just switched off the regular Spike (which is much more effective) because I felt I was getting burnt out.
I thought I could use it to help me focus on my studies later in the day after working out? Or is it really meant to be a pre workout thing?

Hey Sarah,
Power Drive is marketed as a pre-workout supp but it would also be effective to sharpen your mind at study time. Here is an interesting thread on nootropics that covers that very “subject”:
