Where do you post it you believe in Jesus, but would rather go to hell if heaven is full of judgemental, close-minded fundamentalists? [/quote]
God wants us to preach his word. It is all through the Bible, we are supposed to. That is not being judgmental. The word judgemental gets thrown around way too much.
Stevo is speaking of Bible truth. That is not being judgmental. I just don’t understand how people labeling other people who believe fully every word in the Bible can be so full of hate.
I do take the Bible seriously, all of it. The Bible is the only religious book that has completely accurate prophecies that have come true, predictions of world wide events in history that have OBVIOUSLY been verified and complete accuracy that all coincides with itself regardless of who wrote specific parts.
Dead Sea Scrolls
Jesus being born (prophecy)
Four world kingdoms and the order in which they rose and fell (prophecy)
Genesis 16 : 11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Genesis 16: 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
These two verses are speaking of Ishmael who was of the first Arabs.
How in the world did Moses know that Arabs would be “wild men”?
The first book in the Bible was already speaking of what’s going on right now.
Damn, I knew it was only a matter of time before God found me on the internet and saved my soul…after all the midget porn I’ve downloaded on here, I’m finally saved.
Man,look at the verbal vomit coming out of peoples mouths. They say they hate Christians because they are small minded and intolerant. Then they go off being intolerent and small minded on somebodys beliefs and religon.Oh you’re a Christian, because of you we have wars, look at WWII.I can’t help it if Hitler hijacked my religon to promote his twisted and evil deeds. You don’t like Christans, fine,I don’t care for your bigoted anti-anybody whos a christan ignorant asses. You see,I respect anybodys beliefs unless it promotes hate, which does include some so-called Christains. And the hate coming out of some of the atheist on this thread toward religon is just fucked up.

i’ve really got the best of both worlds. I used to be a christian so if i die and the bible is correct i will still go to heaven. If i die and it isnt well i probably wont feel anything.

That is really the uberargument!
From now on I shall not miss any of these monday satanistic orgies (you never know if there IS a devil) and cool my dick to be prepared for Tuedsay Tantra- it might be positive for my karma- Sleep deprived I got to make it somehow through wednesday, until it’s afternoon and it’s time to visit the mosque, praised be Allah! Hope nobody minds my strange hair style 'cause I have to blend in with the Krishna crowd I hang out with on thursday. If only I won’t mix up their chants with the buddhist’s I see on Friday. This would certainly be a major sin according to rabbi Lishkovitz who schools me every saturday. But the highlight is always when I finally can attend to some REAL (christian) church.
This way I can consider myself pretty safe when kicking the bucket.
I can’t wait to see which heaven it will be. (my favorite is the one with the 77 virgins!)
My main problem with the whole religion thing is that god seems to be far less understanding and forgiving than I am. He’ll only take people into heaven who believe in him?! What about someone who spends every weekend helping the homeless, goes to war, throws himself on a grenade to save his comrades & dies? God still won’t take him cos he doesn’t beleive in him? What an asshole.
Furthermore, as posters have already touched on, heaven will be full of really stupid people who believe things they have absolutely no proof of whatsoever.
I also don’t “hate” christians, I just feel really sorry for them. Also, I feel more sorry for you than you do for me… (times infinity plus 1). I see that one coming don’t you worry!
Actually, Hitler was an accomplished Occult Scholar - he took the concept of the Arian race from M. Blavatsky who got her occult ideas from “secret” Gnostic Tibetan Buddhist texts…
Hitler and his cronies combined it with German paganism and the ancient Teutonic Knights to create their own odd brand of Nazi Occultism. I’m not too sure how much they used Christianity as a front, BUT I’m pretty sure that the Nazis espoused their pagan ideals to rally their cause.

Funny, I think someone said Jesus is not the ONLY way to be saved and Christianity is not the ONLY valid religion. Oh, yeah-it was the Catholic church.
“The idea that Jesus is the only way to God or that only those who have been washed in the blood of Christ are ever to be listed among the saved, has become anathema and even dangerous in our shrinking world.” Episcopal Bishop John S. Spong.
Lumen Gentium." reads:
“The non-Christian may not be blamed for his ignorance of Christ and his Church; salvation is open to him also, if he seeks God sincerely and if he follows the commands of his conscience, for through this means the Holy Ghost acts upon all men; this divine action is not confined within the limited boundaries of the visible [Roman Catholic] Church.”
"The Orthodox view of dialogue with other religions is also rooted in the Church Fathers. Subsequent to the Apostolic age St. Justin Martyr, a second century apologist, makes the claim for Christianity that “Whatever things were rightly said among all men are the property of us Christians.” Justin espouses the belief that both Gentiles and Jews will be saved on the basis of their piety and holiness. He states that “Christ is the first-born of God, and we have declared above all that He is the Word (Logos) of whom every race of men were partakers; and those who lived according to reason are Christian.” All peoples are able to participate in the “spermatikos logos” or seed of reason: “For each man spoke well in proportion to the share he had of the spermatic word (reason disseminated among men), seeing what was related to it,” because “the seed of reason (the Logos) implanted in every race of men” makes God’s revelation accessible to all. The pre-existence of the eternal Logos of God enables “all the races of men to participate” in God’s revelation. The “seed of the Logos is innate in all the races of men and resides in all people.” uniting humanity and making all “part of the Logos”

Nah. It is self-righteous, sanctimonius, pompous, smug and not in keeping with the spirit of God to state that Christianity is the only legitimate religion. Further, it’s a position than many Christian leaders have rejected. It is wrong to condemn Christianty and Christians simply because you don’t share their beliefs. There are many wonderful things in and of Christianity. Chrisitanity is great. Evangelicism and this ‘Jesus is the only path to salvation’ attitude is not, and it’s not wrong to condemn that.

Excellent post. I (although not exactly a Christian, I’m not exactly NOT a Christian either) couldn’t agree more.

Religious or not, these topics due nothing to enhance anybody’s life. But if I ever want to post something i feel strongly about, I’ll definately post here so some asshat can shit on my parade. I’ve always felt like the people trying to convert people this way or who are waving signs at SEC football games that say fornicators are going to hell really kind of turn people away from the religion. Kinda like car bombs might have a negative impact on another religion. BOO HISS this topic for it has the opposite of the intended effect of the poster and it doesn’t belong on a website for bodybuilding. I’m going to go cook some eggs now.
In other, more pertinent T-Nation news, Lazy-man curls leave my arms sore for days. Anybody else?
