Hi guys,
I’ve been lifting for 5 years constantly and have had my first break from the gym due to a Bimalleolar Ankle fracture requiring Open Reduction Internal Fixation surgery.
I have had nearly 2 months out of the gym and will be 6 weeks post op next week and am considering starting my first cycle - was thinking Test E 500mg for 12 weeks and am looking for advice on any possible side effects this may have on the ankle joint?
Imagine sourcing isn’t a problem, what would you ideally run?
Goal: Return normal ankle function but gain lean muscle, not a bulking cycle as I find it easy to put on size and hard to lose fat.
Any information is appreciated! If you need any more info plz let me know

interesting you bring this up, as i am currently recovering from 2 surgeries and expecting a 3rd, and planning a “rehab cycle.”
there is some data thrown around the internet that suggest deca increases collagen 270% and EQ 340% or something, and any test dose over 200 mg lowering collagen 80%. anyway, i literally spent several hours earlier today trying to find the actual data, and it apparently does not exist. there are several articles debunking those numbers, though.
however, there are some studies showing that deca increase collagen 50% or so (and it also increases bone density), and test and hGH obviously help recovery and growth in numerous ways.
i would go with a lower dosed cycle than normal, as i wouldn’t want to develop any strength imbalances. lower doses are also important here, as we can’t run an AI on this cycle, as the estrogen/progestins can really help with joint recovery, and we don’t want this going low.
personally, right now i’m leaning towards 10-16 weeks of test e (300 mg), deca (300 mg) and hGH (2-4 IU)…
