Possible Legal Trouble?

Did you eat it?

You people telling me you wouldn’t be pissed if someone hijacked your pizza? As much as people on this board claim to eat, I would say there are a few irritable fuckers that would be pissed!

Was your neighbor fat? They get really upset when you take their food.

Gee, I don’t think the issue is whether anyone would be pissed or not. He was asking whether he could get in trouble. Those are two seperate issues. Can you see the two seperate issues? One issue…two issues. [/quote]

Re-read your original post. Where do you address his issue? You don’t.

Was I the only one who didn’t give legal advice? No. The issue of the neighbors being assholes was brought up by others though, and that’s what I chose to comment on.

What, you need someone to pick on today? Make sense first.

Yeah, did you eat it?

This is in danger of becoming a stupid shitfest. Stupider than when people tell the 130 lbers with a miniscule pooch that they should cut to get rid of it. Stop the insanity. If you ate your neighbor’s pizza and you want to maintain good relations, send them over a pizza one night or give them a few bucks to buy one even though they were stupid for giving the wrong address and you made an honest mistake. If not, do nothing. You will not get in trouble. These neighbors are idiots.

Could you please tell me when it becomes “stupid shitfest” because I thought we were there already. I clearly am not able to tell the difference.

Sure. I will PM you. Oh, wait…did you get it? I have to get my time machine in gear. You’re right. It crossed the line awhile ago.

Right about here…

“I am paranoid about some possible legal ramifications…I just accepted a pizza and signed the receipt…Unfortunately, it was my neighbors who gave the wrong address”

No.

Two things.

  1. What are the damages? $20.00? It would cost more than that to file in small claims court.

I would also state that if the cops became involved (looooong shot) unless you got a rookie with a hard-on, the cops would encourage them to work it out directly, without their involvement.

  1. It was an honest mistake. If you are really losing sleep over this, apologize and offer to buy them a pizza.

That’s what a normal human being would do, and if they are in such a twist about it they refuse, they just aren’t that smart and you should quit worrying about them.

Now go back to sleep.

This is one of the most retarded threads to date.
The solution is VERY simple.
If you ate the pizza, pay for the fucking pizza. If you didn’t eat the pizza, give it to them. And if you signed for the pizza thinking that your roommate ordered it, you’re a dick for eating his pizza without asking him first. Seriously, who accepts food at his door that he did not order and then proceeds to eat it without thinking about it? WTF is wrong with kids these days?

No, they left yesterday evening and I will be back later. If they want a day old pizza I’ll give it to them.

Sounds like you were set up for a controlled delivery.

Make sure you clean any other pizzas out of your house and let your lawyer do the talking.

Why did they not take it the first time you talked to them? They sound like idiots to me.

You ate someone’s pizza. Even if done by mistake, you’re a total POS if you don’t pay them back! Given that you’re worried about the legal issues rather than the ethical issues, you are likely a POS.

A T-man would have said, “Bro, I’m really sorry. I thought my roomie ordered the pizza. But I took pizza I didn’t pay for, so let me return the favor. What pizza do you want me to order for you?” It really is that simple.

Hopefully you are really young and thus allowed such “rookie” mistakes. If you are older than 21, you are pretty much doomed to a crappy life unless you start spending at least an hour a day on self-development. Go read How to Win Friends and Influence People. Then re-read it. Once you do that, you will feel shame for starting this thread. (Shame is a good thing to feel, so don’t fight the feeling.)

Agreed. But this should have been common sense. If delimmas like this really leave this guy wondering what to do, he will have a long hard road ahead of him.

But them a pizza with a note saying, now shut the fuck up. Then, do the same for yourself.
