I have been thinking that perhaps supporting Bloomberg would make me a bit of a hypocrite. It seems he has his fair share of NDAs with women related to sexual harassment (only became aware of this recently). I have called out trump supporters for supporting someone who has a very high probability of being a sex abuser.
Well, I have no desire to argue religion here. I think most people who care about morals will agree that homosexuality is immoral. That doesn’t mean it’s any worse than mulitple other things, but most agree it’s pretty solidly immoral.
Agree, let’s keep religion out of it.
What then would make homosexuality immoral? I see homosexuality as not impacting others outside of the individuals who consent to be involved.
I agree with you that many see it as immoral. I don’t think people have rational reasons to think that.

The views of a society influenced and shaped by…religion. If no source of morals existed? Nothing.
Do you see taxation as immoral? Do you see forcing people to do business with others as immoral?
True. As far as I know it’s been a while since he had to pay a woman to keep her mouth shut. I’m sure he’s a good Christian boy now.
Even many religious people are ok with it though and probably if asked would not define it as immoral. I would say the public polling behind gay marriages supports the idea that far more of the country are cool with it than not.
And that’s including the marriage part which some people might be against for certain reasons that aren’t necessarily tied to their thoughts on being gay in general.

There are some numbers(it’s seen as immoral by a smaller percentage than abortion…so, there’s that), but @mnben87 basically asked what would make homosexuality immorality in the absence of a source of moral standards.
Sadly too many people buy stuff at face value without proof or definitive evidence.
We don’t hold politicians accountable unless it’s one on the other “side.”

Had no shortage of those accusations before becoming President. I mean he was pretty much a known sleazeball long before the disgusting politics came into play.
Not to say he is guilty for everything he has been accused of merely it’s a long list of people who would all be lying. And we know Trump can’t be honest so believing him over thinking the entire group of them has zero merit seems a stretch.
I didn’t fully vet, but this says homosexuality is considered acceptable by about 70% nowadays.
I prefer proof is all.
Trump certainly can too be honest. C’mon… He’s not always honest but saying he can’t be is just not true.

Humans can be a source of morals. It seems that many religions don’t really follow their holy books anyways. They stick with the stuff that fits their views and have reasons why the rules they see as antiquated don’t apply anymore. For Christians why has the gay thing stuck around so long, but we have people running around in poly blend clothing eating shrimp (their holy book says all of these actions are immoral)?

I think this depends. If say only one food supplier is available, then in that case they should be forced to deal with everybody. Other cases I am unsure about.
Until people can objectively assess a person we’re never going to make progress together.

He certainly can tell the truth. He has just lost any credibility he may have once had, IMO. I have no reason to believe he would tell the truth if lying would help him. He has demonstrated this over and over.
Well we’ve got his own words more than once. We’ve got settled lawsuits. We’ve got him paying off porn stars. What more proof do you need? I’m not saying everything accused is true merely we already know some of it is. And we have a lot of evidence many others are. Hell a book was made about it.
I’m not saying he can’t be honest at some point but how many direct lies do you need to hear to question his honesty?
