I hope Bernie gets the nomination. If we have to have a Democrat, I’d rather it be him than any other I can think of with a chance(even though he spinelessly backed Hilary).
Democrats need to nominate a black person(or someone else that will make people feel good about themselves when they cast a vote—“I’m not a racist, even though I choose to live in an almost-exclusively white neighborhood so that my kids don’t have to interact with inner city culture”), though.
I do if we are in hard recession at election time.
The Dems will spin the already unpopular tax cut as politically motivated, due to the timing of the bill (during a good economy, vs a recession when tax cuts should be employed).

The Trumpublicans are proving little to me when their “pushback” not only has no Political consequences…it actually improves their standing with the base.
There have been numerous cases where Trump has been out-of-line…and you hear little to nothing from the GOP…other than “He’s a counter puncher!” “We KNOW this President states his mind!” and other mindless and enabling dribble that shows anything but toughness.
Well, he already dubbed him “Sleepy Joe,” so yes.
Nominate a gay, white guy and watch much of the black vote disappear.
If this happens I think Trump gets destroyed. The economy has the chance to override the other bullshit and the fact that he really hasn’t got much done that’s been popular. The tax cuts aren’t popular. He hasn’t done health care. He hasn’t got the wall built. I don’t think he actually wants it built because he wants to run off of it. He wants that to be in play for debates.
If he doesn’t have the economy how does he appeal to people outside his base? His personality outside his base is largely hated. His approval ratings are low.
