Good. Then who cares if Warren lied?
Lying to cover it up gets you ahead in an election (or it used to, until the Evangelical Right got their thirty pieces of silver).
No, you were saying she was bad because she was a liar, but you don’t actually mind lying - as long as it is a politician you like doing it. All I did was point out you have no standards, except double standards.
It’s called being an alpha. All the betas live vicariously through him.
Oh brother. You just want to mock people who don’t think like you, your not interested in conversation.
And you don’t? Clearly you think Evangelical Christians are all evil hypocrites who sell their souls.
You are not the arbiter of fairness and decency, you’re only decent to those in your echo chamber.
And yes, I have a problem with lying. Its wrong and a bad thing and people shouldn’t do it. But I am not going to condemn the whole world for doing it. And the question was not about ‘good or bad’, you’re moving goal posts. The question was, should it disqualify people from seeking office and the answer to that is no. ← That’s what the question is, now you say I don’t have a problem with lying? Maybe you don’t have a problem with lying, suppose your wife is banging you best friend and lying to you about it, do you mind? It’s just a lie.
I don’t have a double standard that standard is the same.
She is bad, lying is a symptom of that. It’s not a disqualification from holding office, since all politicians lie, just ask Edward Snowden. Her disqualification comes with her idiotic policies that couldn’t happen unless you re-wote the Constitution and found 60 trillion tons of gold on government held property.
It doesn’t matter, she’s not going to win anyway, so she can lie all she wants too. Then she can go cry in her teepee.
Oh come on now you didn’t even laugh at that? Take the stick out man.
No I’m really not interested in a conversation about “whether it’s true” because it’s true. Nor one about Trump evangelicals being massive hypocrites because it’s also true. It would be hard to make a President who embodies the ideals of Christ less than Trump does.
How 'bout the President of the United States of America?
It wasn’t funny. Do I have to subscribe to what you consider humorous?
So Evangelical Christians are this monolith who have to pass a “Christ Test” before you will let them have their own opinion? They aren’t allowed to think what they want and be who they want because they don’t fit some definition you made up on what it means to be a Christian?
I don’t see any Evangelical Christians telling you what to think, not here. Seems the people obsessed with what certain groups should ‘group think’ are you and thunderbolt.
I don’t like it when he lies, either.
Actually, I don’t like it when most people lie if they are talking to me. But everybody lies, some big, some small.
I also think it’s pretty amusing when everybody says he’s lying and then it turns out he wasn’t. But he does lie at times and I don’t like it when he does.
Uh, no.
And guess who not only kept the patriot act, but expanded it’s powers after campaigning on eliminating it?? Hint: Not a conservative.
You don’t know why he put that in quotes.
It’s a good thing you put “not here” on your post, @pat…because historically they have been some of the most judgmental individuals around (as a group)…
What blows me away is that I don’t know if a President with more of the trait’s of Satan’s Spawn could have been picked than Trump. But as someone said…I guess as long as you get whatever your 30 pieces of Gold are in your mind, it’s all good.
Just to be fair to Trump…with the exception of being enticing and alluring to men…Clinton is the very definition of a Succubus…
If Hillary were a man, how would he be judged?
Damn good question, @zecarlo.
With her underlying credentials and experience?
Probably much less harsh than she was. Even my comment had sexist connotations. (Unlike Trump…I am FAR from perfect).
She gets described as the most evil politician of them all, and she never was president, meanwhile Reagan is some grandfatherly figure even though he was responsible for a lot of shady dealings and the deaths of a lot more people. We’ve also found out he was a racist.
You have never denied sucking a monkey’s dick, does that mean you have?
What can Evangelical do to you that telling them to “Fuck off” wouldn’t solve? Are the going to kill you? Blow your house up? Shoot your dog?
Feel free to hate them, it’s your right.
The most judgemental people I have ever met by far are atheists by a long shot.
Quick to call everybody hypocrites, not noticing they are being hypocritical by being so open to ideas, they unapologetically shut the ones they don’t like out. That they put preamble’s to other people’s behavior but feel absolved to look at their own. After all, it doesn’t really matter anyway, does it?
Let’s look at this forum, who are the most judgemental hypocrites? If your honest you’ll admit they hate religion. So religion doesn’t have anything to do with it.
When was the last time an Evangelical has ever judged you? Ever? 10 years ago? 5 years ago? So is it really even a problem? Or do you feel judged from stopping on a TV channel you just couldn’t turn off?
