I don’t think I’ve said anything about laws relating to gays but of course I think they are ludicrous. Why would anyone criminalize sexual orientation?

There has been more violence from 20th century identitarians, then there has been in the rest of history… And I don’t have to even include Hitler in that for it still to be true.

Second of all, it’s not the point at all. We are talking about the identity politics of today, not all of history. You include all of history to every talking point, no conversation will ever go any where.

I’m not sure what the right aren’t eating their own over identity even means. I would say it’s because the right has no identity. They are tied to the whims of whatever Trump feels like being for on a given day. Small government? No. For free markets? Hardly. Against socialism? The same people giving billions to farmers? Which should work out well since farmers employ illegal immigrants more than anyone else. I’m sure they can do plenty of hiring now.
The right can’t eat their own because no one has an idea what they stand for anymore or even want. They just hope Trump does something they felt like they used to like. And if he doesn’t they just kinda shrug their shoulders and say “guess we’re doing this now.”

I would think that the number of homosexuals in a given country is the same regardless of how inclined or disinclined they are to come out.
I don’t suppose that their showing of a few pride rainbows here and there actually causes heterosexuals to switch their natural preference.

Bill de Blasio represents the worst strain of American liberalism – smug, arrogant, utterly hypocritical and lacking in self-awareness. This is the man who announced his own Green Deal, but then took a helicopter to the gym. This is a guy who sends cops into the subway to shoot homeless people out of the way before he rides it, but then lets the city drown in trash. He demands you stop eating hot dogs because they’re bad, but then promotes smoking weed.
