Political Quiz

Yup.

They did.

Look the Paul-Bots and the people pushing Johnson are the major sources of my hope and optimism that we, as a people can turn this country around. I don’t want to go “forward” because the direction we are heading sucks balls. Faux equality and unrealistic expectation, coupled with foolish optimism and ignoring obvious nationalistic state control, sucks.

But if the Religious right could chill the fuck out, and if they could give up on the Patriot Act and NDAA bullshit, the republicans would killing it right now.

But sadly they aren’t really into the individual liberty thing all that much these days, and the hardcore religious talk freaks out too many moderate and fence sitters.

So it isn’t as surprising that you may be more republican than libertarian.

Kinda having trouble reading exactly what you’re saying here.

…you pretty much dissed Republicans if I’ve understood.

But then you say that you are not surprised at me being more Republican - so is that a diss at me or what?

He is saying they would get more votes if they stopped promoting religion as a major platform in their party and stopped being hypocritical when it comes to spending cuts. You’d be surprised how many “liberals” are actually in favor of spending cuts but won’t vote republican because of all their other disagreements.

No, I wouldn’t be surprised - not at all - as long as you keep the “liberals” part in quotations.

(as you did - good job)

I kinda picked up on the rest of that. But it’s not perfectly clear how that applies to me and / or libertarians.

I’m also kinda curious about you. Did you take the quiz? It stood out to me that you came in here with semi Zeb attacks - without sharing your own quiz results. Are you one of those (not quite really) “liberals” which would be voting Republican if it weren’t for …something - you haven’t really made clear…

Or at least not to me, in my memory

You seem to mostly argue against religious people on here, and also with Zeb. Zeb may be religious - but he doesn’t talk about it much on here - so these are two separate issues. What are you even all about? …if you don’t mind my asking

I’m rather curious, myself. It would seem to me like an unspoken prerequisite that if you are going to be posting in this thread your first post should involve at least a short summary of your results. The test takes like 5 minutes.

I posted a link to this same quiz a few weeks ago, I forgot which thread. My highest was libertarian at 80 something percent. Dem was high 60s and Rep was low 60s which are both non-passing grades for me to want to vote for them.

Mitt 96%

Republicans 94%

I’m sorry I wasn’t clear.

All I’m really saying is a lot of people are more moderate/right than they think they are if they actually take an objective look at themselves. So in your case it makes sense your a bit more “middle” by being more republican than libertarian.

I don’t remember what I got, but is was like mostly ron paul, who was on it when I took it and then Mitt, and like 90+ republican I think.

I really want to retake this next time I have a couple beers

libertarian 80%

If people were to look at it all from a certain point of view they’d think me and you were standing directly right next to each other.

But our posts don’t show that. Interesting.

I’m not even surprised btw, I actually suspected it.

Oh the quiz is a bit weird on how it matches things up. Things like gay marriage, pro choice, dumping the patriot act, dumping internet censorship, are going to get you in some strange matches. Then some things start clearly separating like evolution, gun control.

And for example I was for letting the banks fail which it matched me up with the green party chick I think even though her position is nationalizing the biggest banks which I’d hardly call a similar position.

Her and the super religious guy are perfect examples of people who will and imo likely should never get elected.

Interestingly 3 people I personally know got highest for the green party on this quiz (which was my lowest). They don’t take money form corporations so that insures they will never win a major election.

Yah they’ll only be able to win a revolution if things get really bad or technology quits advancing quickly enough to keep giving the appearance of having wealth.

I think there is more to it than that, but yes it isn’t going to help their cause.
