Police Intimidate Me

How often? Are the stats on their use of force really any different from the numbers I provided above, which showed use of force incidents to be extremely rare (use of force even including simply pushing, grabbing, or pulling)? If so, could you share your stats with us?

See this is what happens when you let your suicide bomber friends over to party.

You won’t be missed.

“Complaints about police use of force in England and Wales
How do police in the United States compare to those in other countries with
regard to citizen complaints about use of force? Although comparative
international data on police use of force and citizen complaints are scarce, one
possible comparison is with the police in England and Wales. The Research
Development and Statistics (RDS) Directorate of the British Home Office
reports annually on police complaints and discipline.
During the 12-month period ending March, 2003, the police in England and
Wales received a total of 6,154 complaints alleging assault by officers. This
results in an overall rate of 4.6 complaints of assault per 100 FTE officers.* If
other “oppressive behavior” is included (oppressive conduct or harassment,
and unlawful or unneccesary arrest or detention), the total number of
complaints was 9,584, resulting in an overall rate of 7.2 complaints of
oppressive behavior per 100 FTE officers.
To the extent that the LEMAS data on citizen complaints about police use of
force in the United States are comparable in substance to citizen complaints
about police assaults and other oppressive behavior in England and Wales, the
overall rates of complaint per 100 officers in both countries are similar (7.5 force
complaints per 100 officers in large U.S. local agencies, versus 7.2 oppressive
behavior complaints per 100 officers in England and Wales).”

I had an encounter with the cops three years ago. I didn’t know my rights and wasn’t wise to their ways, and they took advantage of my ignorance to screw me over. Conducted an illegal search and then lied on their paperwork to get it through. This will not happen to me again.

FUCK THE PO-LICE FUCK THE PO-LICE FUCK

AMEN TO THAT! FUCK THOSE FUCKERS!

Lol @ people scared of police. Especially these ones.

Look up the results on wiki for the “Stanford prison experiment” or any other site.

It doesn’t explain why some cops are intimating but it sure gets you thinking.

Im not afraid of the cops, but I do think that people in power have a tendancy to be big fucking assholes, and that for the most part DA’s dont care if you are guilty or not, they just want a win and the cops are more than willing to go along with it, even the ones that arent total douchebags.

If I had to deal with drunk drivers, road-ragers, idiot teen drivers, and an uncomfortable dark uniform, I’d be a prick too. Some cops are cool, some suck. Just like the rest of the populace.

For someone with long hair you’re pretty smart.

Decent, honest police have been a rarity in my city and it’s getting worse.I know of at least 2 dozen instances where hard working, tax paying, honest people have had prick cops push them around or lie to get them screwed up in the system. Now it seems as if they can do what they want as long as they keep writing their tickets every month, and bringing money in.as long as it’s not caught on tape.I have had several friends age 50 on up that have been stopped for no reason and being told some lame excuse for it.We should clean up our countries injustices ,before wasting money screwing with other’s.It’s a shame there are different law’s that the general public have to abide by and police and other public servants dont.

Some of our local cops are suing the chief of police because he has a ticket quota. Those are stand up cops in my book.

It is not only the police lying there are the Prosecutors lying too. Once the Legal system reaches a point where the majority of people do not trust them, it will be a very dangerous job

You guys HAVE heard that power corrupts, right?

Whether you rise through the ranks and run a company, or you carry a gun and deal with bad guys, you eventually come to think you have the right, or deserve, to wield that power… and that doing so is a good thing.

I’d like to see as much effort put into policing those in power as is put into policing the populace. It would be great if politicians, police and others were kept decidedly under the thumb of others, too.
