Planning a Trip to China

Are you saying we eat those kids?!?!?

It’s been done.

This doesn’t really bother me that much. There are 1 billion people in China. I think a lot of people here would eat dog if a lot of the animals we currently eat went instinct.

China has worse problems. Like there are kids in the street who are covered in dirt begging for money. According to a friend that lived there, these kids don’t go to school, they just sit in the streets begging for money and give it to their parents who spend it on alcohol or drugs or something. If they don’t get any money they get beaten by their parents. Well I saw the kids, but that was what a friend (Chinese) told me they were doing out there. They even jumped on a couple of friends backs (foreigners) begging for money.
Stop worrying aobut dirty kids in China and take care of home. Go volunteer in a shelter. On your way, pick up a few stray dogs. mm tasty!!

Hilarious that some seem to be making a huge deal over Chinese eating dogs, as if that is the biggest of their problems. It is part of Chinese culture to eat practically anything that won’t poison or kill you. I’d be more ticked off with their political regime, violation of human rights and expansionist ideals instead of what they put on their dinner table.
Plenty of people are ticked off by the American political regime, violation of human rights, and expansionist ideals, even inside the US. What’s your point?

Dog eating is certainly not the norm in China. It’s probably more easily accessible than in the US, but not in any normal grocery stores. I would not eat dogs unless I’m forced to, but to think dogs are somehow more human than other animals is silly.

You must really be sheltered. Do you not see shit like this happening in America? I’d fix the American public school and welfare systems first before complaining about other countries.
