Your perception don’t really count here. I’m talking about the data comparing the income of the wealthiest and that of the poorest. The gap between the two in the USA is appaling and is growing by the day. That much you can’t deny.[/quote]
The data may be correct, but your implication is not.
Go ahead, lecture me on American wealth distribution. I mean, an Arab in Sweden who’s never set foot in America surely knows more about it from reading an internet article than I, an American who has spent my entire life here, do.
The middle class here in America is not shrinking in number, nor is their lifestyle worsening. Far from it, in fact. There are already very few truly poor people here, and their numbers are not growing significantly, if at all.
Given these facts (facts that I see with my own eyes, lixy, rather than cull from an internet article), I don’t really give a damn if the “gap” is growing.
That merely tells me that America is still the land of opportunity. Do something great here, and you’ll be richly rewarded. Simply work hard, and you’ll be plenty comfortable. Fuck off, and you’ll still be fat and happy. I know this because I see this. I live in this.
Your implication that America is slowly moving towards a society of a few aristocrats walking on the backs of a hoard of starving peasants is bollocks, and anybody who lives here and opens their eyes can see it.
I don’t know if you’re getting incorrect data, skewed data, or a misinterpretation of the data, but your implication is completely false.
