And for the record, it looks like the book has a price tag of something like $3.59 or so (hard to see though). Just so happens that the OP is standing next to a $1 sign with the book. I don’t see any “blue label” on the book either, which is for the $1 books.
So yea, there’s a good chance it wasn’t being sold with the very cheapest pile of books.
