Peter Schiff First Televised Debate

Great first debate from the next senator of Connecticut

Schiff is a great speaker but he needs to tone down the hand gestures…it’s like that’s all I could focus on when he was speaking.

McMahon seemed to use the most words but said the least.

That other dude, whose name name I won’t bother to look up, seems to think people will only vote for him because he is a veteran. Does he even know which state he is running in?

The most epic line came at the end [Part 5, 6:20] when Schiff said, “If you send me to Washington, I promise you one thing, that town will never be the same again.”

It would be interesting to see what things get accomplished (or rather don’t) if he does win. If both he and Rand Paul won (running for Jim Bunning’s empty Kentucky Senate seat) that might shake up the place in a good way.

I predict though that if he wins it will be business as usual by the other “Gang of 99” and his business will take on lost opportunity costs which might hurt people who have invested their money in his firm.

Did anybody else see Schiff debating against Hilary Clinton and John McCain?

Link a vid or it didn’t happen.

peter schiff is awesome. he and lew rockwell are my favorite economists.

Epic line? Doesn’t every politician say this? I like Schiff, but he sounded like every other politician in every other debate. That said, your take on the rest of the class is spot on.

Oh, I completely agree that he sounded like a typical politician but unlike a typical politician I believe him when he speaks because he doesn’t speak in talking points – and I also believe without a doubt he would expose those turkeys in DC for the crooks they are.
