Is she kind of…pink?

My bird dogs Milo (front) and Stella (back). They are all-around good scoobies.

Very cool pups dude, they look really serious haha. Is Stella a German Wirehaired?

This is Roscoe. Another for the husky/malamute crowd.

Though not technically mine, the farm I live on has 2 great pyrenees and a blue heeler. This one is brownie, she’s quite a large dog. Roscoe is on the right

To give you a size idea. Roscoe is about a 75 pound dog.

These are borderline pets, but we also recently had 2 new additions to the goat heard. This one is literally on a couple minutes old, The mom is still giving birth to his brother. Baby goats are some of the cutest animals ever.

Something about your picture looked familiar, but I can’t quite place it.

What a beautiful, beautiful shot.

I am totally loving this thread. What a great idea. I could look at pictures and hear stories about people’s pets ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. And I’m showing great restraint by not commenting on every single one. Please everybody, keep them coming.

Thanks. You are close. Both Stella and Milo are Pudelpointers. The PP is essentially the foundation for the GWP. They are sweet as pie and very good natured. However, “when the tailgate drops, the bullshit stops”. I have learned to shut up and simply follow them.

Here is a pic of Gertrude. She was my GWP. Died about four years ago. She was that dog that taught me what unconditional love means.

Great dog. I love the Malamutes. My sister had an absolute monster of a MM named Brutus. Spent many a Sunday afternoon watching football while using Brutus as a pillow.

My neighbor has two Pyrenees. In the summer when I ride my bike (it is loud), they are always sitting by the fence waiting for me to roll by. Simply massive hounds. Glad they are fenced in, as I think I would come out the worse if we were ever in an accident.

I’m thinkin’ Swiss Mountain dog. I’ll take those points on a gift certificate please.

You guys are killing me. I had to put my German Shorthaired Pointer down a couple years ago. The only time she ever got sick did her in. 10 years old.

If you ever notice your dog having a hard time keeping food and water down check outside where they crap. If you notice black tar like stains in the grass(I did after I was told what to look for) go see a vet pronto. Their intestines could be flipped over or blocked…very, very bad.

Sorry about your dog D-Day.

Side note, when you hear about dogs and chocolate and how it can kill them. Maybe, maybe not. My dog ate a whole bag(1 pound) of those tinfoil chocolate easter eggs once and never missed a beat. Mind you her poop sparkled in the sun for a couple days lol.

God I miss that mutt. Pain in the ass, always in the way, gettin’ inta shit, grumble, grumble, grrr, sniff, sniff…anyone got a tissue, my allergies again.

GWP’s are awesome, always wanted one growing up but my dad insisted on either English or GSHP’s. I’ll hunt behind a solid pointer over a spazzy flush dog any day. You’re right about when the tailgate drops, those dogs go from goofy to all business and it’s an awesome thing to see.

Following the “mopey Malamute” theme.

Chillin with me at work

I was lucky if my GSP waited for the tailgate to drop lol. All motor, all the time.

I hear you. Milo’s first season was this fall. I would take him out of the kennel and ask my buddy “you ready?” and he would look at me like I was nuts. Then I would put Milo on the ground and he would take off on a 150-yard run. Gotta’ love the drive and desire or it will make you nuts.

Looks size wise like a malamute, but the blue eye makes me guess it has some huskey in it too.
