Pervasive Anti-Americanism

We are the most moral and most noble country on earth and this will forever be a reproach against the immoral, the slothful, and the just plain evil in the rest of the world.

God bless (and has blessed!) the United States of America, God’s strong right hand here on earth!!

HH, you’re an extremist right wing pig. You don’t have a clue and only half a brain cell.

I’m not anti-American. I’m anti-stupidity. You don’t see the difference, because in your case, there IS no difference.

That being said, let’s explore the original post.

I’m not saying the US had it coming, but that’s what people like you hear when someone explains to them why it happened. You want to live in this pretty little magic world, where you stupid actions don’t have any consequences. That’s your choice. But don’t call me anti-American for shoving the realitiy back in your face.

Is it anti-American to say 9/11 was nog big deal?
I dunno. Was it a big deal? That depends what you compare it to. Was it a big deal compared to the dent in my car. Yeah, it was a very big deal. 3000 people dead, compared to a dent in my car, there’s no comparison.

But was it a big deal compared to the holocaust? To WWI & WWII? 3000 people dead compared to millions dead. In that light, it’s not so big a deal.

Is it a big deal compared to the situation in Africa where thousands die every day. Can you imagine that? Thousands dying every day? A 9/11 every day? Of course you can’t. Nobody can.

So why are a cheering on from the sidelines when the shit hits the fan?
Why is that Headhunter.

Is it because you’re a stupid, stupid, stupid extremist right wing nutcase? A christian fascist?

You’re as dangerous as Osama. He also believes he’s on a mission from God, striking infidels left right and center.

And like Osama, you prefer to keep a safe distance from the actual danger.

And the same goes for your ugly cheargirl Lorisco.

I’m sure you’ll both rot in hell.
and wreckless pipes up to spout the ABB talking points.

It is going to be a great day in November when the republicans keep control of congress. It will send the Chief America Hater into a dimension of hatred we have never seen before.

And I will laugh my ass off for another 2 years while reading wreckless’ hate filled stupidity.

It’s strange to me how it seems that only non-Americans can see the errors in your country’s policies, and how this can reflect upon your national image to outsiders.

I’m English, yet i can admit ‘my’ royal family are nepotistic, dissolute Germanic parasites. I can admit Tony Blair has upset a lot of people. We have one of the highest underage pregnancy levels in Europe. Also some of the biggest alcohol-related problems in the world.

Being able to see why your country of birth may be repellant to others is a step towards harmony with other people.

Jingoism (ie support of wars without empathy, blind defence of your mistakes etc) is unhealthy. It is also dominant, it seems.

And no, when China provokes the US, i’m sure USA will not respond. No, i won’t take pleasure in this. I won’t support China’s impending invasion of Taiwan, or America, or anywhere.

It will be interesting though. What happens when a bully gets fucked up/ is forced to surrender?
dannyrat wrote:

You call us a bully. You suggest that America cannot see its own flaws. You say that it seems to take a non-american to see them.

You seem to think that if we don’t see the “problems” exactly as you have them lined out - we are myopic. Xenophobic. Bullies.

That is understandable coming from a beta-male country. Your jealousy and frustration with being a second fiddle is clouding your ability to think anything but negative wrt the U.S. and our role in the Global order of things.

If and when China beats the U.S. at whatever conflict you have made up in your head - the entire world will feel the effects. The security you have because of the U.S.'s protection of Europe will no longer be there. You will have to worry about your own survival.

Maybe that will be a good thing - I am growing tired of the Euros minding our business.

I don’t necceessarily think Britain is beta, but even if it is, i’m cool with that. I’m not Beta. I’m not Britain. I’m Dan. I act as i see fit, don’t care what someone says about my country if it’s true. It’s not like if someone talks about my mum.

Say my benching form was bad, and someone said ‘do it like this, it’ll spare your shoulders’ (thanks eric and mike) i’d listen, and try it. Why is it heresy to criticise the policy of the alleged world leader?

If you don’t know about China vs Taiwan, you’ll get a surprise. It’ll happen. I’m no prophet, it’s just a standard thing. Just like i know the US will be in many other people’s countries this year, and will benefit in one way or another from their involvement. I’m sorry, but weapons cost money, someone always gets paid off others’ suffering.

There is no reason for me to dislike the US. I don’t. I dislike some Americans, some attitudes, some wars.

All you just said was ‘nan-na you’re jealous.’

I’m not. I’m the outsider who can see what is right under your nose everyday, and is now invisible.

You don’t read very well. Your posts drip with Blame-America rhetoric, whether you want to admit to it or not.

But- I agreed that China would take Taiwan. I even went so far as to say that the U.S. would not lift a finger to stop it - which is a very bad thing.

Your assumption that I know nothing about the two just reinforces my assertion that you are way too full of yourself.

In fact your assumption that you know more than anyone else because you make good grades in college make you an irrelevant squawking noise.

Of course this isn’t sure, it’s in the projected future, but i have a question (not for rainjack)-

Why wouldn’t the US lift a finger against China? I think i know the answer, and it undermines the noble facade of all the other wars fought in the name of justice, always against hugely inferior opponents (since ww2).

If it’s wrong to invade Taiwan, and the US fights for what’s right, then USA will go to war with China.

Don’t be mistaken and think i’d love to see America humiliated by China. Do i have to underline this? I just don’t like bullies throwing their weight around and calling it ‘democratising’, but hiding from a bigger foe. China have been cunts also. I have a friend from the former East Turkistan who can attest to that

I suggest that America wouldn’t fight China, as potentially that could mean the entire and final destruction of each of these nations. So it is accepted that violence begets destruction.

If only that were applied more frequently.

I never said we were the new Rome. We are not imperialist like them, or the british, or the Spanish, or the French, or the Portuguese - or even the Germans of the 20th century.

We have no desire to rule the world. Although we are, and have been, the world’s baby sitter for some time now - that is because of the weakness of Europe not the imperialistic desires of the U.S.

The world’s currencies are pegged to the U.S. dollar because we are the model of stability compared to the rest of the world.

Like I said - make all the jokes you want. Dream up the wittiest retorts you can. The fact remains - much to your chagrin - that the U.S. is the standard by which all nations are measured.

Let me rephrase that in Zap’s vernacular: We are the Alpha Male. Europe is at best a bitchy little yippy beta male.

Until we are knocked off - nothing will change. You can look 50 years down the road with baited breath if you like, but the U.S. will still be at the front of the pack, while Europe continues to bitch and moan.
If he actually meant being an Alpha Male , as in: having understood how that works in a highly political species as ours…

An Alpha Male is not necessarily the ape that throws the most weight around, it is the one others follow for a variety of reasons.

An Alpha Male that is followed by noone is not an Alpha Male but a waste of muscle and testosterone that sits alone in the jungle.

Who follows the US right now? Where is the vision my glorious leaders? Where is the light that shines on the path ahead?

Your money is pegged to the dollar. Guess what? You follow us whether you like our politics or not. Money talks - bullshit walks.

The U.S. has had the most stable economy for the last umpteen years. Guess what? your economy is dependent on ours whether you like our foreign policy, or not.

NATO is led and staffed by the USA - in Europe. Guess what? You depend on us for your very safety and defense - wheter you like it or not.

Sounds to me like the little Euros do a fine job of following the Alpha Male in spite of the yipping from the puupies on the back row.

Our money is not pegged to the dollar, the dollar sinks like a stone and our economy can live without the US to the same degree the US can live without us.

You think economically you are still number one? If so, you should feel our breath on your neck.

The NATO? Who is going to attack us? Why do we even need protection? You forget that some European countries even have nukes. A conventional war is unthinkable at the moment.

You have yesterdays answers, but unfortunately the world is round and turns…

Oh - you ignorant little puppy. Go back and read up on what “pegged” means. You will see the ignorance of your ramblings if you only tried to learn.

Number one has nothing to do with it. Once again, your yipping is outpacing your ability to understand that without us - specifically our markets - Europe will go broke

I agree that there is far less of a threat than there was 25 tears ago - but we are still there…protecting you.

And it revolves around the US economically, and militarily. You may have us beat in the arts and other trivial pursuits - and I am proud of you for that. But - no matter your yipping and barking from the back row of the world stage - the US still commands the front and center. We will continue to do so until we are bested.

Now eat your puupy chow so you can grow up to be a big, strong chihuahua.

Yeah, well put. Yesterdays answers.

And…America is economically strong, and this is for a combination of reasons. But, to truly apply the analogy, does wealth make you alpha? No. Integrity, strength, independence, reputation, these are things of an Alpha Male. All of these things are tainted in most of the leading nations (including my own). Anyone claiming alpha is clearly not, too.

Inevitably, again we return to China. China is what Capitalism hoped Russia would never become.

Why do you have to try to lord it over Europeans? Why care about something so fickle as alleged world predominance? This thread was about a negative image of a nation. You only reinforce and justify this image.

This is what got for “pegged”:

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=pegged&x=0&y=0

I think pegged in an economic sense would mean a fixed exchange rate or at last to be strongly influenced by another currency.
dannyrat wrote:
Yeah, well put. Yesterdays answers.
They are todays answers as well.

No just having a strong economy does not make you an alpha. Japan is an excellent example.

I am not claiming alpha. It is the truth. If you can’t see that we are a world leader in everything that counts - money, economy, military, trade, etc, - then you are indeed a completely stupid twat.

This is an outright lie. We did all we could to encourage Russia to turn to capitalism. Your stupidity is screaming now.

Why does Europe have to bitch moan and whine every time we do something that they don’t like? If we are not the Alpha Male - why are you so concerned with us and our policies that you feel the need to get on an american board and spew your bullshit?

I don’t see you bitching about Japan, or South Korea. Why is that?

Okay - I’ll tell you. You guys are the yipping little puppies that think you matter. You know the US is the world leader, and it irks you that a nation so obviously stupid can do and say the things they do and still be the leaders.

Now…go eat your puupy chow.

Dude, we just swallowed our equivalent of Mexico and then some…

No fucking fences needed here…

Until their economies are up to par, our economies are going to GROW and no bankruptcy in sight…

The US however, having given up a budget surplus for one of the greatest deficits ever (by a republican, yippee)…

And the Euro is very much pegged to the U.S. dollar, as is most every other currency in the world. There is a reason for that: The stability of the US and our money supply.

Fixed exchange rate is not accurate. There are no such thing as a fixed exchange rate in the currency market.

Face it - the dollar is the measuring stick for the world’s currencies. Which is the point I was trying to make.
