So immigration…

Speculation as to how SCOTUS will rule on SB 1070 ?
Also, do you think Perry’s record on giving in-state tuition to illegals will come back to bite him ?

It’s hard to say how they will rule. The act is pretty bold in requiring people to carry papers. It would also be a scary step torwards a national id card and possible micro chipping. A leap I know but not unbelievable.
I guess it makes sense though, if we want to be in our cars driving around, we have to be able to prove that we are legally able to do so at any given moment during the act. So if an immigrant wants to exist in our space why not require the same?
I think the issue is too politically charged and the act too strict for SCOTUS to pass it though.
And yes, if he takes an anti-illegal immigration stance I would think so.

Coming to a city near you, La Raza teachers protesting in City Hall for passage of the state Dream Act. Yay for assimilation. This is what happens when you leave the borders open.

The pic wouldn’t load, let me try it again…

Technically, yes. But in reality in this republic at no time does it ever cease to be the people’s money.[/quote]
Se I would say the other way around :)Technically it is always our money, but in reality it is the Gov’s money

The point is that they derive their means from tax payers. As the government alone does not make any money without taxes which are paid by the citizenry under threat of prosecution.
And I want to add that they are not good stewards of the funds that have been given to them. If they were we would not be in this economic mess. And I’m talking about both parties. GW Bush was a huge disappointment to me and Obama is even worse.

The point is by means of devaluing the price of labor and to stack the deck against the poor , is the point.
I agree with you about Bush and also Obama , but the Republicans are offering no better solution
Protect yourselves my friends, here in California, Governor Moonbeam is being pressured by La Raza to sign the California Dream Act, giving PUBLIC tax money to illegal alien kids. Yes, I said PUBLIC tax funds to illegals BEFORE the kids who are here legally. We are bombarding his office with calls and emails, to the point where the capitol switchboard was shut down.
This is what happens when the illegal demographic gets so big, they demand and expect everything.

Well, I’ll take the promise of smaller government and less taxes to the reverse. Will the republicans deliver? Who knows? But at least they start out with the right idea.

I like the idea of taking care of the less well off. That’s why I try to give generously to charitable organizations. But would you give your money to a thief so that he could watch over it? All politics aside, we are in this economic mess because government is virtually incapable of handling the people’s money correctly. Therefore, since government is a necessary evil, I say shrink the government, and give it less to do. That way two things will be accomplished. We, at every level of the economic strata, get to keep more of our money, and government might just get a few things right if they have less of them to work on.
I humbly suggest this as an alternative to what’s been going on for the past 65 years–And I don’t care if the person who promises to do this is a republican or a democrat, rich or poor, Muslim or Mormon, Christian or Atheist, black or white. We just need it done or there won’t be much of a country left!
