Pyotr: I’m not sure how well Clinton was liked but I can bet a certain population of Turkey hated him as he escalated arms sales to the government which in turn was used to slaughter them. Clinton new this the whole time and in doing so is complicit in the deaths of those people. A crimminal of the highest order. Absolutely disgusting.
doogie: I care what the world thinks of us. Hell, it may curb the blowback this country will no doubt recieve for the imperialistic foreign policy we’ve had for decades.
Does anybody know the amount of deaths caused by this country’s military crusades? I’m talking about Vietnam,Korea and our so-called “war on terror”. Just curious.

I agree, if I am a thief I am less inclined to rob a house in which I know the occupants are armed. Of course if I still decide to burgle the house it has every chance of then escalating into a homocide. Now I don’t know what illegal gun possesion rates are here, I might look into it, but everyone is making out there are thugs flying Apaches and carrying M16s wandering the British Isles and its not the case! Yes from what I’ve heard and read there are more guns coming into the country, especially with gangs from Jamaica, but I don’t pay taxes so that I can go out, buy a colt and play at vigilante. Its something the police have got deal with. I’ve heard they have close ties with the Jamaican police and hopefully doing what they can. You have to remember this is a closed society to guns, they’re frowned upon and those owning them are seen as nut jobs. The average person doesn’t want them and won’t accept machines with no purpose but to maim and kill being widely available. Now call me idealistic (at least somebody is) but a nation full of people bitching (and we Brist do bitch a lot) should be enough to kick some asses into action, that is IF it ever becomes that big a problem. As for a homogeneous society! What the hell is that supposed to mean? go tell a cockney from London he’s the same as a Geordie from Newcastle, or a Scouser from Liverpool he’s akin to a Brummie from Birmingham (just an hours drive away). Tell a Sikh he’s the same as a Muslim! My god, Britian has enourmous amounts of regional diversity beyond the comprehension of most Americans I met. They can’t believe if I travel 15 miles in any direction the people use different dialects, eat different food, have different political views, wear different clothes. And that’s just a small corner of the North East, hell 60 miles north is Scotland, a whole different country! Just because a whole nation backed tight gun control doesn’t mean we’re homogeneous!
