the general consensus seems to be that it’s more to do with high doses of growth, slin and the various peptides than the actual AAS

This.
I also seriously doubt that 2-3 total grams of gear per week was really in the ballpark of what he took when he was blasting. Double that amount would be more likely. Something in the 4-6 range. There are those who ‘cruise’ on a gram or more of gear. 2-3g would be at the low end of the spectrum in terms of pro bodybuilders.

First I will start with a compliment: you look awesome and I see you have made tremendous gains.
Next: that is pretty scary considering a medicinal dose of T per week is 100 to 120 mg. I have been on TRT for over twelve years and on two occasions my levels went supraphysiological (~1500 ng/dl) and medicine had to be adjusted. I did not feel right. I can’t imagine how some of these guys feel with insane levels acquired from that abuse.

Thanks man! I really appreciate that!
It’s pretty crazy. I find the insulin usage to be quite a bit more frightening though. That stuff can cause insta-death if you mess up.

Ah I didn’t know that.

It’s never really been conclusively proven, and I doubt it ever would or could be, but the distended gut phenomenon only seems to have surfaced since BBers started using way more slin, growth and IGF-1.
I dunno, though. I have no interest in running pro-size cycles, I’ll never touch slin and I couldn’t ever afford GH but if I get palumboism from my wussy little cycles then I’ll be sure to report it here!
hope that this isnt the case hear.are they enlarged muscles on the sides of his forehead or bone growth?

He’s biting down in that pic, so I assume it’s muscle.
Tom Platz had huge jaw muscles.

Among the various rumors I’ve heard circulated was that Platz used to chew on a rubber handball to strengthen his jaw -lol.

“Here, boy… fetch, Tom. Fetch!”
Mcgrath is the other one with absurdly built jaw muscle.
he looks way better in this pic (IMO) but the muscle or whatever is going on on his temples is nowhere near as pronounced here.
Can this thread make three years?
