Palumboism - Causes and Case Studies

Palumboism was named after Dave Palumbo.

That seems a bit mean :frowning: I like my version of events better.

So I cut through all the intro crap in the beginning and start it a couple minutes in. The therapist is meeting with an older guy who, you could tell, was some type of bodybuilder(has his shirt on at this point) then the guy takes his shirt off for an assessment. And immedietly I’m like “damn this guy looks like shit”, and as I’m looking over him I’m thinking to myself-hey this guy has palumboism.

Turned out to be Dave Palumbo…[/quote]

Would that guy be Dr. Castro. My brother, friends, and I have gone to him.

It’s so weird how these guys with names similar to a condition end up with it. It happens so often as well, like a weird curse.

I suspect people like Rusty Jeffers and Hamdullah Aykutlu, two of my favorites shown here, did not do so much drugs that their organs shut down or that they starting to resemble Neanderthal man.

So you feel they were able to achieve their physique using little drugs…how little is little? Genuinely ccurious Becuase that can vary a ton person to person

I actually have no idea. It’s just my suspicion that they were cautious and/or did not want to look like the humanoid, Palumbo-inflicted monstrosities we see today, so therefore did not use absurd dosages. What is classified as conservative or abusive is beyond me considering I have little clue as to what individual competitors take. However, I am pretty sure people that look as imposing as those I mentioned are not taking little, nor are they taking the insane amounts that likely cause Palumboism.

Of course.

Beerfest needs more recognition for the masterpiece it was.

“Big round of applause, people!”

Gunter Schlierkamp and Ralf Moller don’t appear to have palumboism, even with all of the beer they drink!

I saw the same video. Now his stomach looks very weird, but his chest is what really stood out. It looks so strange and atrophied.

Today marks the second year anniversary of this epic thread! I got hate for it in the beginning, and now, two years later it is still going strong!

Long live Palumboism! Long live the IFBB! Long live the circus that is pro bodybuilding today!

Pie is on me guys. I made sure to get a sausage-onion-pepper pie to fit the protein, fat, vegetable, and carb needs of all the heavy training allstars here.

Say a prayer for all those afflicted.

And finally let us pay a tribute to the great one himself!

Lol!!!

Happy Anniversary to what I imagine is the longest running thread on the site!
