Palpitations on Test Cyp

This is funny I had a similar situation. I had been on TRT for nearly 6 months and then out of the blue I started getting palpitations. Got so freaked out I even went to a cardiologist. Thank God everything checked out fine and he said they are benine but I hated em and wanted to know what was causing them.

I had been doing test cyp 2x a week injections as I said for nearly 6 months. After tons of research I switched to daily injections and after about a month the drastically reduced to like perhaps one or two a day and so mild it feels almost like a baby pulse more than a heart palpitation. I also personally found increasing cardio helps. I am prone to palpitations I got them growing up but after changing my diet they went away. Jump on TRT and put on a good amount of muscle and they came back. I am starting to think in my case it may have been that my body weight was going back up (I was really over weight in my younger years) and I was starting to let cardio slip. Not sure of your situation but that is a possibility.

I also had the same situation as you though, no elevated blood pressure, heart rate or any other symptoms. Hell They put me on a 24 hour EKG monitor and the doctor said he didn’t even see any abnormalities when I had a palpitation when wearing it.

Also one thing to note is make sure your getting a good amount of your minerals like magnesium and potassium, that was how I got rid of mine initially. Another huge thing to note is that when on TRT I have heard your body uses minerals at a higher rate than you are used to so keep that in mind and adjust accordingly.

Again, perfect way to troubleshoot issues. 9 times out of 10, moving to daily eliminates issues. I’ve tried everything to do less frequent injections, because it’s a bit of a pain. It is what it is.

In fact my girlfriend that know nothing about TRT but has enough brains she wonders why anybody would expect to make more rare injections and feel stable all the time?

Agreed. One thing I’ve done that makes it much less annoying though is I pre load 7 pins for the week every Saturday so I just wake up, pin and I’m done no drawing and all that shit every morning.

I’ve even gotten so efficient at it honestly even the day I load all the pins it literally only takes me like 10 minutes.

Also yes I have found daily injections you just feel so much better. Much greater sense of well being, much more energy and much more stable over all. I even noticed my gains in the gym went up when switching to everyday and I have not increased my dose at all. I’m pretty sure I lost some water weight too. Honestly all in all best decision I ever made.

I’ll add your name to my list of 1000+ guys who have told me the same… high and low SHBG made no difference.

Pre-loading the syringes for ten minutes… then 15 seconds for a quick injection each morning.

This is how you do it guys!!!

So do you take your weekly does and divide it by 7 days?

Yes. So I am on 250 mg a week so I take 36mg a day which works out to 252 lol close enough. Such a small dose and with that you can use insulin needles. I pin with a 27-30 guage 1/2 inch needle. Basically no pain and I know a lot of people here do Subq but I do shallow Intramuscular.

I may try sub q someday but for now what I am doing is working very well.

It doesn’t take two months to shut a guy down, it take only 1-3 weeks. His initial 200mg injection probably held him over for the first couple of weeks, then dropping to a lower 50mg dosage and it was all but inevitable and predictable outcome.

I get heart palpitation when levels drop to low or hormone levels are fluctuating too much, natural healthy men don’t see huge fluctuations like some of these guys on TRT, no more than 200 ng/dL in a given day according to Dr. Mohit Khera.

For me happened in two, very fresh example

And you think that the moment his levels get suppressed he will feel it immediately?

Average time to get suppressed is 3-4 weeks. You do not get suppressed in a week.

My friend, I felt it immediately. Literally in one day I felt from better than pre-TRT than much worse to pre TRT and this lasted up to yesterday. Today Im a bit better
After this happened I searched the forum and found several other experiences like that

Maybe Im an outlier and overthinker and pay too much attention to that, but it is possible
I guess when you shut down this is a shock to the body

Yes I do, maybe not immediately, but within the week the shutdown, 2-3 weeks is usually when these men return to the forums to ask WTF is happening. Their natural production shutdown at a time when the testosterone levels as a result of the cypionate injections hasn’t had enough time to build up in the body leaving them with low levels again which is why there is a return of hypogonadal symptoms.

I actually saw a study over on Excelmale showing the LH supressed at the third week showing the progression to LH suppression.

Most of the guys we see complain after a month. Virtually all of them started at a dose that was too low. If I said I’ve seen this 500 times I would be being rather conservative.

There are other reasons for those bad feeling, their body is getting used to these hormonal fluctuations as their levels progress towards a stable state. The fourth and fifth week can be the most taxing mentally.

Interestingly enough, men who start on a proper dose almost never have this issue. All the men who report this started on an insufficient dose. When I say all I mean ALL. 100%.

I inject 2x a week. The only negative symptom I see is admonial water retention. There’s a couple days a week that I pee with urgency and that when my belly goes down. Cause I pissed out the water.

What is this @dbossa

@charlie12 difficult to say for sure. If I had to place a bet, here’s what I would bet (and I would hopefully right and not lose my money lol!):

Is is ā€˜possible’ that the twice weekly injections are causing hormone fluctuations which in turn are causing a degree of water retention? Have you ever experimented with more frequent injections and, if so, was there any difference in that department?

I never tried more frequently.
But at one point I was fine. Could be the dhea am taking but my dheas lab was in the 100s almost below range. So I thought I need to take.

I may try more frequent. Maybe that’s the key. … just not ready to do that cause I feel very good. Doing 110mg divided in 2.

Truthfully when I was doing the 50 every 7 days by day 3-4 I crashed and felt like shit till a day or so after I took my next shot.

@dbossa if it is the test causing the palpitations switching to daily how long do you think it would be until that stopped? Also asking for me. Mine have drastically reduced but haven’t completely gone away yet.

Also your Danny Bossa from the trt group on Facebook? I’m in that group lol good to see you here.
