Packing on Some Muscle (Supp Advice)

I’ve been following a lot of Berardi’s nutrition as well, he is very well known around here. As for just eating a lot of pizza, I used to be pretty fat, so just shoving some pizza down my throat would get me back up there pretty quick. My metabolism has slowed pretty good over the last few years, so I have to watch what I eat.

It’s not like I just want to gain 5 pounds in 15 weeks, I could definitely do that with the “post-workout pizza,” I want 5 more pounds of lean muscle.

Berardi has a lot of great stuff. I recently heard an audio piece of his talking about how he has some of his clients who are rather lean and looking to gain muscle add some more “unhealthier” foods throughout the week if you don’t gain too much fat from it. He spoke that if you are still covering all of your nutritional bases (protein, veggies, healthy fats etc) and your aren’t gaining weight, he allows clients to indulge in some of their favorite foods in the post workout meals (like chocolate milk and stuff like that).

Best of luck to you in the slow gain process. I tried it but realized it wasn’t for me and I felt like my gains were slowed because of it. I personally have done better wth eating as much clean food as possible throughout the day, and then throwing in some foods like pizza in the PW meal after my 2 leg days and back day.
