It depends upon the man. Approximately 50% of male officers can handle approximately 50% of men, I’d say. The percentage of men that can survive long enough for back-up to arrive is larger than that.

Sorry… Awful at technology. They just cut 200 officer spots from our table of manpower at a time when homicides; black on black as per usual, is 40% up from last year’s decades high murder count. They had some meeting 2 days ago where a bunch of unhinged white weirdos showed up parroting the same talking points to zero pushback.

I think there were some glaringly fishy things surrounding the election.
The capital fiasco was embarrassing and ineffective but largely harmless… Unless you count an unarmed white woman being “murdered” by a minority officer.
I’m not right or left. I’m quite apolitical and am of the mind that your behavior is what dictates your results.
The left promotes degenerate behavior and self defeating attitudes that put people into my scope of responsibility, unfortunately. I have both liberal and conservative values, as well. I despise politics however. More importantly my beliefs will not keep me from doing my job properly and without bias

Absolutely… Any arrest now is a massive pain in the ass from the booking to the paperwork to the report. And uof stuff makes it more burdensome. All for a go-nowhere arrest.
I’m just curious as to how the funds are reallocated. Goodness knows they aren’t cutting 200 positions in the interest of a budget surplus haha. They’ll spend it somewhere else, in a manner intended to address the same issues those officers handled. Just curious on the specifics of the new program/s.

Intentions are irrelevant.
The results of those programs are what should matter, not how they make people who’ve never known violence feel. The most generous assessment you could make right now is that the policy disasters presently unfolding were well-intentioned because they made people feel good about passing them and/or had optics that appealed to their proponents somehow.
In other words, they’ve appealed to enough well-intentioned people who aren’t intelligent or informed enough to understand the outcomes taking shape or the situations they take shape in. For an example, see every talking head on TV and in the halls of government suggesting that Bryant was shot unnecessarily as she was in the process of pinning and stabbing another child. Rank stupidity is the only excuse you can have that gets you out of being a lying sociopath if you’re making that case.
The worst assessment, which I’m increasingly buying into, is that this is done by design with full knowledge of the easily predictable outcomes.
The results are already in, by the way.

Not sure yet but cutting 200 officers from an already overburdened / greatly understaffed dept is pure insanity. Some people don’t see a police car on their block for weeks already.
St Louis just got $500 million in federal grants too. None going to the department. Odds are they will be pilfered, squandered and used for bullshit pet projects… Much like the BLM grifter that owns 4 mansions now.

They don’t, if we look at current programs. This is just another money grab for ineffective programs run by incompetent people. It’s basically a welfare program for sociology majors and professional activists.
And I don’t buy the whole, she was an angel and this was some aberration. She was probably a bully who was used to getting her way. An angel doesn’t try and stab someone in front of the police. That’s a person with anger issues and no impulse control.

Many people are still in denial, with their heads firmly planted in the sand. The brainwashing is so thorough, they won’t change ,sometimes even after they personally suffer at the hands of these mob psychopaths
In Europe you get those advocates for mass immigration who have their daughter raped and killed by illegal immigrants(invaders), and they still sympathise with the immigrants.
Facts or events don’t matter to this type of person. It doesn’t matter what compelling evidence you show them, they won’t accept it because it is a threat to their delusional world view.
Others recognise the problem but just hope it will disappear, and things go back to how they were before. If it doesn’t directly effect them they don’t see it as a real problem.They will change when they are directly effected by the mob(it may be too late by then)
Then you have the silent majority. They are too scared of losing their job, getting doxed, having their bank accounts closed down, if they say something publically. Then you have the fear of getting prosecuted like Kyle Rittenhouse if they dare defend themselves from attack.
They know what’s going down but things haven’t reached critical mass yet for them to
react en masse.
Its not going to get solved by political means any time soon. If anything with Biden;'s win its only going to get much worse.
