Our Department Is Being Defunded

They were invited by the guards of the capitol. There was no storming. No one was killed, but a protestor by reckless police officer.

No one of the precious politicians was killed or kidnapped.

As I said give me an example of insurection without armies and generals.

Insurrection where there were no firearms of any kind…it was a protest

You win the internet for the most moronic statement of the day.

The country you claim to love was born without a military or generals

The education system didn’t fail you, You failed the education system.

Get the fuck out of here.

I wonder what isn’t considered a #peacefulprotest by someone these days?

I guess America peacefully protested against sadaam in Iraq circa 2003 too.

At this point I just view you as a troll. The definition of insurrection doesn’t mention generals etc but you can Google that.

The first 10 mins of the doc I mentioned, show they broke in and they where armed. Police give accounts of taking control of a terrorists firearm and keeping it in his trench coat.

You can’t redefine words because it’s awkward to your political beliefs. And I doubt you’ll watch the documentary.

@fitafter40 there was firearms according to the police. And even if there wasn’t it still counts.

Not every country has a rich history of defending itself with narwhal tusks.

I applaud you for being objective when the conclusion was likely not favorable to your world view. I strive for that.

Keep believing the lying FBI and the crying capitol police

It was not a peaceful protest and the storming of the capitol was against the law and everyone should be charged accordingly

but it was not an insurrection and there was no way those idiots were gonna overthrow the most powerful government in the land

again, there were no firearms confiscated from the FBI or law enforcement

…however, the antifa, blm riots and the burning of businesses, police headquarters, the department interior government building…nothing is done about that…such hypocrisy

Just because there is a huge amount of hypocrisy doesn’t mean Jan. 6 wasn’t an insurrection?

Insurrection definition isn’t based on likelihood of success. So, it is an insurrection, it meets the definitions. Stop moving the goal posts.

It’s going to be really hard to have any real debate if we have to go through this every time someone doesn’t like a word.

In a thread that talks about police being defunded I note your dislike of local and federal law enforcement. Are you in support of ‘liars and crying’ departments being defunded?

The opposite meaning of insurrection is “surrender”…all of the protestors peacefully surrendered with no violence towards authority

Therefore, in my opinion it was not an insurrection

Which country does he claim to love??

Hell no…I am for law enforcement

Like I said, what the idiot protestors did at the capitol should be charged accordingly because they broke the law

Just like any protestor that violates the law should be charged accordingly

defunding the police is the dumbest thing I ever heard of…there should actually be more funding of the police

and that doesn’t change the fact that FBI and the capitol police have been lying and playing politics with this whole so called insurrection fiasco…both organizations are corrupt

That’s not true though. There’s footage of Insurrectionists attacking the police with weapons. There’s scenes in the footage of injured police being carried by colleagues. Police where attacked by metal bars, broken down barriers, sprays etc

@doogie even posted stills above of violent scenes.

@fitafter40 honest question, as all my questions have been. The ideology of policing seems very different in USA to Europe. In the UK the right wing government has defunded police, in real terms. Where our previous left government increased funding.

If some off your law enforcement, in your opinion, is corrupt why are you behind giving them more funding? Or is there some way to weight the funding?

That’s an honest question

some the funding needs to go towards weeding out the corruption…and thats from top to bottom

Then towards training…whether it’s firearm training, humanity training (compassion for others), defense training, anger management training, communications training

More manpower on the streets…less manpower means more stress on the officer which leads to more mistakes by the officer

I will concede that the protestors (not insurrectionists) committed some stupid violent acts against some of the capitol police without firearms

Thanks for the answer. Some interesting points. I know the met police( London) have had many corruption claims in the past.

A question I’ve never asked on this forum is why there seems to be so many more clips of American police on the internet compared to other countries? These are clips where the police seem to over react. I know it’s anecdotal, that’s it’s still a very low percentage of interactions and I know that many are justified. Also, what does a number of clips in a algorithm prove? Nothing.

But it does make me wonder. No where near the same number of European recordings seem to pop up on Reddit, YouTube, etc, for me.

Am I seeing bias due to algorithms or is there another reason? That’s to everyone.

See English is not my first language.

Insurection on my language means an attempt to overtrow a government. Such attempts historically are not happening without fire arms and armies. They are not happening during protests of a couple of thousands of people.

Rebelion is more like the word you are trying to use. But a rebelion includes a larger population. Or a city for example.Eastern Europe countries for example did an insurection when entire population rebelled against the government. In Romania they hanged the leader of the communist party.

So this was a protest. You cant name few thousands people storming a building an insurection. Because they have no way to make it happen. Take over the building and then what? Even killing all the politicians in the Capitol building wouldnt bring any results. You need fire power to hold the political power. So dont lecture me what insurection is. This was a protest. In the end the protestors were invited in the building. They did not even took over it lol.

I am not watching documentaries less informative than the comedy show of Steven Crowder. It is a waste of time watching political propaganda. When they are able to even reach the investigation skills of a comedian I will pay attention.

it is culture. In Europe people generally respect the police and we consider them good authority. If we react to police the same way as Americans, we sure will have available footage online.
