Or, people who love the united states and want to make (however misguided) changes through constitutional methods like voting instead of violent insurrection or rioting.
Violent insurection? This was the most inviting tress passing I have ever seen. The reaction of Democrats to what happend to January 6th is the funniest and most ridiculous thing I have seen. 2nd best would be Trump impeachments.
Now if we talk about BLM and Antifa protests and their influence to US judical system (now will be seen in Rittenhouse case), police system and including mass arsene, killing and destroying few great cities, then we can agree.
There’s a bbc documentary called 4 hours at the capitol. It’s clearly a violent insurrection, it’s recorded.
The BBC is shown to have a right leaning bias.
Violent riots against police, bad. Violent attempts to kidnap (and/or physically intimidate) the VP along with members of Congress to overturn a free and fair election, good.
It’s pretty simple.
You’re wrong ![]()
It should read
Violent attempts to kidnap (and/or physically intimidate) the VP along with members of Congress to overturn a free and fair election, with the police becoming the victims in the attempt. Good
I don’t like it when people pick a side, ideologically engrain a given political rhetoric as being part of who they are and thus overlook all the awful shit their side is involved with
Both examples you’ve put up are representative of deviant conduct. Case closed…
People ought to call out bullshit when they see bullshit. Instead there is the sentiment of “hmmmm, is it wrong? The right/left wing is supporting this and I am right/left wing”.
Hope you aren’t equating one to the other, “both sides were wrong” etc.
Defund police who support Jan 6th!
This is exactly what I’m doing.
Both sides were wrong. I do not support the looting, arson elicited by the fringe extremists associated with various extremist political factions during the George Floyd protests. They caused a lot of damage, they burnt down businesses owned by hard working men and women.
I do not support an attempted insurrection, an attempted coup aimed at overthrowing democratic principles in America.
Both sides were wrong, and I can equate both as one and the same given the sheer amount of damage that was induced by the rioters.
The consequence had the coop been successful would have been far more dire. Protests and riots fizzle out. However there was virtually no chance of a government overthrow being successful.
I’m not going to look at the far left and the far right and say “one side is better” because they’re both equitable in terms of how awful they are.
You can’t talk to him about January 6. He’s never heard a rumor about it that he questioned.
(Here is a story about the medical examiner’s findings) https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/04/19/brian-sicknick-died-of-natural-causes-after-capitol-riot-medical-examiner-rules.html
Damn you still haven’t rented out space in your head to anyone else? Going on how many months rent free now?
It’s just great, to me, that some guy on the internet claims to question everything and be an engineer or whatever it is you claim…and fell for an obviously B.S. story so easily.
I’m still not gonna pay you. Feel free to evict any time…
So intent doesn’t matter, only outcome?
To a degree… Yes. All in all, both intent and outcome matters.
If I get into a bar fight and accidentally kill someone, I will be charged with manslaughter or reckless homicide provided I threw the first punch/was the first to escalate from argument to violence
If I get into a bar fight and a scuffle ensues but no one is seriously hurt, I might be charged with assault provided I threw the first punch.
If I am trying to kill someone with a knife during a fight but fail to do I might be charged with assault with a deadly weapon or attempted murder.
If I am trying to kill someone and succeed, I will likely be charged with first degree murder.
Both intent and outcome factor in.
No difference to you between trying to kill a random person, trying to kill a cop, or trying to kill the VPOTUS and members of congress?
There is a Fauci documentary, but the guy turned out to be a nasty piece of shit.
I will post a Crowder 15 min segment with a good comparison between Jan 6th peaceful protest that the media calls insurection and BLM riots.
I’m not arguing the BLM protests or riots. It doesn’t need whataboutery. I’m not American left or right, I’m not even American. I’m saying that Jan 6th fits the definition of an insurrection.
Watch 4 hours at the capitol. It starts with footage and interviews from the proud boys. Was it violent, yes, was it an attempt to overthrow government. Yes.
Attempts to over trow governments usually require military and generals. Please share where a protest succeafully did it for at least an anecdotal example. You speaking bullshit.
Jan6th was a protest.
A protest that involved storming the Capitol looking to kidnap and perhaps murder various politicians. A protest designed to overthrow the election and in keep Trump in office.
Nine people died in association with the jan 6 attack on the Capitol
5 at the event, four officers who responded to the event commited suicide within seven months of the event. Presumably due to the undue pressure put on them after the event.
Man, I voted for Trump twice. That was an insurrection. They were there trying to overturn the results of an election. In the end, Trump didn’t care about the country at all. It was all about him.
