Which is what they got from cop shooting young woman actively trying to knife her rivals. LEO chose correctly of 2 hostiles engaged in assault and prevented harm to would be victim. All in split second decision/action.
Yet was ragged in public discourse as unprofessional, perhaps racist murderer.

Sure thing. I spouted off plenty in the thread so there’s more above and below, but here’s my kinda bad screed about the subject.
That’s mutually true without a doubt.
I grew up when cops were spoken of in the same breath as firemen, teachers, doctors, paramedics and every other non-lawyerly noble profession.
Why is it that only the most basic government function of providing security and helping the most urgently in need is being expelled from that pantheon of admirable professions?
Everyone makes mistakes, even serious ones, including that whole list.

Yea… Post 9/11 we were America’s saints. The Mike Brown incident changed everything. Police need to do better. Better training. Better people skills. Better decision making. Unfortunately nobody demands the same from citizens.

It hasn’t changed my vested beliefs pertaining to the election, though it was an interesting thread to transverse.
If you see this action as murder, then I question every point you have tried to make. Had the woman been allowed to storm through the door, then that would have told everyone else that it was okay to go forward and wreak havoc.
I’m with @mnben87 , both parties push lies. The media pushes false narrative. Ignorant folks doing and saying stupid things will always make the news and get portrayed as the norm. Dumb people will believe what they are being fed.
