Seleucids. Alexander’s Generals(Diadochi) fought over his empire after his death and Seleucus ended up controlling all of the empire with the exception of Egypt(Ptolemies) and Macedonia. The empire was taken over by the Romans bit by bit(Macedonian Wars, Mithridatic Wars, Parthian Wars etc). Long story made very short BTW.

We can either quadruple our efforts to hunt down and kill every last one of these homicidal beasts, which will cost a ton of collateral damage AND money, or we can get used to terrorism from these guys all over the world with it increasing here as our idiotic self destructive “tolerance” does us in.
We can talk about this up one side and down the other til the swallows came back to Capistrano, but those ARE our 2 choices. There is no clean n purdy cost effective way to deal with a large number of smart, state sponsored people who believe their god is telling them to kill us.
