Bush has got to be one of the worst public speakers ever…

Yup. I hope our next president isn’t bushtarded like this one.
'Course… there won’t be as much comedy. Jon Stewart might actually have to try instead of having his jokes handed to him on a silver platter. ![]()
Damned thread title fooled me, I had thought this was going to be about big brother tactics…
Please tell me that republicans can see how blatant this crazy set of doublespeak is?
I mean, why the hell can’t he just leave the door open to adapting in the first place? But no, he has to paint himself into a corner, like he does on every issue.
Then after walking out of the corner he tells us that those aren’t his footprints and he was never in the corner.
Come on repubs, if you are going to win elections, at least put someone in there with ethics and a sense of respect for the constitution and citizens.

I never would mention mis-spells, etc…unless the guy mis-spelled a bunch of stuff…while…he was calling me an idiot.

Simply amazing.
watched the video and didn’t read any of the commentary. i guess you have. explain to us: what’s so damning about him saying we’ve adjusted as we’ve needed to with regards to this war.
glad you have people to tell you what to be outraged about.
Well, you monumenal shithead, the point was that Bush an his cronies hav ben parroting the phrase “stay the course” for years now.
And then, Dubya claimed he wasn’t all about “stay the course.”
You’re not hat bright, are ya.
And HH…you’re no one to talk about not being qualified to teach. I suspect you work at a provate school because even Ohio wouldn’t certify you.
I’m sorry, friend. I didn’t get most of that. What language are we trying to communicate in? Define ‘monumenal’, ‘hav ben’, ‘hat (bright)’, and ‘provate’. It’ll help me understand better, since I’m not that bright.
Also, try not get married to words and phrases. Try to understand the MEANING and context of said words and phrases, even if you can’t spell or pronounce them.
Wow. Correcting the spelling of others in the first post you’ve ever properly punctuated.
You clearly have a lot of big ideas and fancy arguments and you’re not a shithead grasping at straws whom no one here likes.

No one likes me?
Oh.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo!

Fully certified, Masters in Math Ed from a Big 10 school. I’ll soon be taking the exam for highly qualified, which gets me a raise. Seeing how I caught and corrected an error in the certification test and got the top score IN THE STATE, I think that exam will be a breeze.
And Hack is correct, man. Were you stoned or something when you wrote your response?
BTW: Harris, its fun arguing with you. Please post more. I miss it when you write ‘Stupidest Post Ever!’. It cracks me up, bud!! ![]()
What? Your “asthma” didn’t keep you from taking the test?
Based upon your spelling in your response to Hack, you definitely don’t want to ‘burn one down’ again before taking your test. You are working on it, right?

Strauss is considered the philosophical father of American neoconservatism. One of the tenets of his philosophy is that the elite of society have a natural right to rule over the rest, by any means possible, including deliberately misleading. It therefore is acceptable for the elites to tell boldfaced lies to pursue their agenda. This is what the Bush administration has been doing all along, not just Bush but others, who, when confronted with their lie, simply lie more.
This is not to suggest that neocons invented dishonesty in politics. However, it should not come as a surprise when they obviously sense no compulsion to do otherwise.
It is possible that the United States is one of the few societies that could allow this to happen on such a blatant level.
Do you also believe that Bush is really a reptile-being and is using secret rays to prevent us from seeing his true form?

Just curious, have you ever actually read any Leo Strauss? Just curious.

So, you’re just admitting you have no point at all, right?
“I was actually for staying the course before I decided against staying the course”
Expect that one soon.

You questioned my credentials and I responded.
Anyway, this is a good thread. I don’t think Bush is the monster you guys make him out to be, comparing him to Satan and Big Brother, but I don’t think he’s near what we Republicans hoped for. He’s too much of a compromiser. If Reagan had had a Congress like this, we’d have way less of this insanity in the world.

If Reagan was in office we would have had Osama bin Forgotten’s head on a platter.
Iraq would be contained with Saddam still in charge.
NK and Iran would not be a problem.
Our deficit would not exist and the neo-cons would have remained at the thinks tanks they came from.
The vast majority of the insanity was created by a f’ed up synergy between non-conservative right wing nuts in the WH and congress.

Wow, there is just no shutoff valve for your bullshit. Amazing.
Reagen huh? What, would he have “stared down” Iraq and made them break apart just by looking at them like you people think he did with the Soviet Union?
Or would he have had even bigger scandals than Bush? I could only imagine what Reagan would have done if he were still alive…and it would have been fucking terrible.

Yup. The Unabomber (Teddy K.) got a Phd from Michigan, my old alma matre, in mathematics. We can be ‘unusual’, that’s for sure. Of course, that would NEVER apply to me…(insert maniacal laugh). ![]()

The real irony is math majors are some of the least logical and most delusional people I have ever met.
Thank you for backing up my assertion each and every day.

How would you know any math majors? Are you still in college? Or do they come in to the Wendy’s where you work and you drool on their fries?
LOL! You don’t know any math majors, bugwit. (Other than yours truly, of course!)

What the hell is it with you and people drooling over fries? Every time you try to insult someone you mention them serving fries at a fast food chain.
Insulting the working class for great capitalist establishments is totally un-American, you terrorist.
