Orals On Empty Stomach Or Full?

Does it make a difference if you take oral AAS on an empty stomach or with a meal? What about PCT drugs?

Thanks,

I’ve never used oral AAS, but word on the street is that if you take them on an empty stomach, you will surely feel ill. ‘They’ definitely say that about M1T.

Generally speaking highly lipophilic compounds such as these are better absorbed with a meal containing fat than on an empty stomach. I don’t know if there’s a specific study proving it in the case of oral anabolic steroids but it is absolutely what would be expected. It has been shown in cases with non-alkylated steroids taken with oil or taken alone, though, and I don’t see a reason why alkylation would make a difference there.

As at least one reason why, the steroid must dissolve or at the very least be broken down to extremely small particles, far below microscopic, to be absorbed. Since they are not water soluble, there is little that is going to accomplish this other than fat and bile acids: and more bile acids are released when dietary fat is consumed than when not.

While I can’t prove the difference, I personally have felt I perceived significant difference in effect on mood between Dianabol taken on an empty stomach vs with a protein shake containing some fat. Not in the anabolic sense obviously, which can’t be determined immediately. But the greater effect on mood when taken with the food, which is a positive effect for me by the way, suggests to me better absorption.

However I’d go with the expectation in principle of better absorption as the stronger reason than the latter – the second is just a small observation in agreement with it. Only with specific blood tests to the contrary, which don’t I think exist and I really doubt would occur if tried, would have me choosing not to have at least a little food with the orals.
