Awww, poor Mama Oprah. Damn, she hasn’t learnt from Hermes, has she? Whether you’ve got a hundred bucks or billions in your bank account, you’ll still be a fucking N$$$r to them. When they don’t follow you around, they refuse to serve you or shut the door at your face.

She should’ve shopped in Brussels. They’re usually nicer there. Zurich peeps are fucking weird.

Good on Oprah for not making a scene though. I would have either slammed my black card on the counter, ‘hey bitch, here’s my fucking black card! Now get me that motherfucking ugly ass - not as ugly as your gollum- looking boss though - down, bitch!’ , or walked to the next shop, buy their most expensive items and get back into the 3 pommes, waving my bag at her fucking face, ‘hey cunt! Look what I could afford, you motherfucker! Big fucking mistake, you racist twat!’
Welcome back. I’ve missed you.

How come people keep posting links acting like there is some new angle yet each story is basically the same?

I didn’t actually read what anyone else said, threads with race on T-Nation make people go crazy, plus I just wanted to seem important. Like I’d found some different. I wanted to feel like a big man.

But clearly I was wrong.

Thanks for stealing my thunder.

Regardless of how ridiculous her purse purchase is, the racism is still the worst part of this story. Most idiots wouldn’t get it unless they faced this shit every day of their lives. Racism sucks.

I mean, she’s fucking Oprah, and some retarded racist refused to take her money? What a fuck tard.

Edit: and the clerk wasn’t just being a dick; what other reason would they assume she couldn’t afford it in a westernized culture? Hmmm…
Because she was wearing a t-shirt, skirt and flip flops. I am pretty sure that if I walked into a store like that with jeans, a T, and flip flops on that they probably would assume that I couldn’t afford the 38000 purse as well. Elitism yes, Racism no.
I’m pretty sure other celebs don’t shop in extravagant outfits… statistics would help here.
'Cuz paparazzi is a bitch.

I’m saying that it was less likely that she was denied for being in a t-shirt and more likely because she was black. I mean, even in america, you have to assume that about 30% of people are racist, and almost none of those people are overtly racist (I’d say at most 10% of the 30% pool depending on your area). In other countries, the percentage goes up for both since it’s acceptable to be overtly racist in other cultures. I would do the hard research for you right now, but I’m lazy as hell.
Ugh, can you go away?
I don’t see any refutations, big guy. Would you say that to a person explaining their experiences with racism to you?

http://wtfwhiteprivilege.tumblr.com/wellintentioned

Read this, and marinade in it. Maybe you’ll begin to understand; a person bringing up racism isn’t a time for you to sound like a smartass. No, you’ll sound like a racist piece of shit. Unless of course you condone it… then you are indeed.

Cheers.
Will you go away if I say please?
No. Maybe if you attempt to listen; if you admit you love your privilege I will. If you admit you don’t want to be a racist and read the literature, that’s great as well. The choice is always yours.

No hard feelings: it’s just how this issue pans out.
Nope, but I see what you did there.
1.) You don’t know I’m white
2.) “The literature” isn’t a tumblr account
3.) 4 posts, how do you know about the intricacies of the site?
4.) Pretty pretty please?
1. When you make remarks like that, it becomes increasingly certain. By the way, you don’t know if I’m white either.
 2. It’s the closest thing I can get for you, and it’s good enough; I don’t have to spoon feed the answers to you. You can look further into the issue yourself.
 3. 4 posts, but I can still read while I’m not registered, and believe me, I’ve done so enough to understand the types of posters on this board.
 4. This is an issue no one should leave alone. Pragmatically, broke shit doesn’t fix itself.

Just my opinion, but to me she is a double idiot.
She is sure that she is right.
She is totally wrong.
She thinks that it is OK to manipulate media/others to increase her income ( she likely cried wolf because her name needed to get up in the media ).
She thinks that she is still big out there.

Having a small IQ is nothing to be ashamed of but by her age she might have learned to keep quiet and avoid proving it.

.
I don’t know about that.

I bet she could run for president in 2016 and smoke the Dem primary (assuming her party here.)

I don’t know about the general, but I don’t think O needs exposure.

Oprah’s usual “punishment” for manipulating the media and others is legally making herself and others Millions–if not Billions–of dollars. My lack of skills in this regard is probably why I still work for a living. I’m not a big Oprah fan, but “small IQ” isn’t a description I’d accept without some compelling proof.

Went on American Main Stream TV…nope didn’t make a scene…then admits it wasn’t racist, just a misunderstanding.

nothing to see here, it’s not like american media gets hot and bothered when there is anything to do with race…

Yup.

Same reason we’re “allowed” to argue so much on this site.

Same reason everyone knows who Paris Hilton is.

Same reason everyone knows who Donald Trump is.

Creating controversy leads to attention → publicity → money.

She didn’t make a scene in the fucking store.

If you had paid close attention to what I wrote, you would’ve realized that I was talking about her shopping/browsing experience.

But hey, I guess, the only thing you can read and comprehend is a fucking bible.

X2 throwing a shit fit at the store would have made it a much larger issue, thankfully she realized that the media downplays issues with race and cried about the situation there instead.

Really?

In a world that makes Kardashian weight loss front page news you blame her because it became a story at all?

She’s famous…and news is slow. Blame your news anchorperson.

Who are these Kardashian people? What’s their deal? Why are they a part of pop culture?

I keep hearing their names and stuff, but I’m pretty much out of the loop.

Pretty much, yeah.

I really only know about things through hearsay; filters out a lot of the crap that way. If it’s important enough that people are talking about it on, say, T Nation, or a few reddit subforums/subreddit’s, or if my friends are talking about it… I hear about it.

But otherwise, I don’t hear about much.
