Please return to conversation and answer my question.
What was your question? My bad.

Why is expecting a high end retail employee to treat you like a king or queen for 30 mins acting unkindly to others?

I like to eat at Del Frisco’s. You know what? Outside of the fantastic food, they kiss my ass and I pay them well for it.

I work for my money, I’m not going to not enjoy myself because someone else doesn’t have it. Shit, I’m actually helping the world by spending my money.

And I do hope not a single person complaining about O owns an iPad or iPhone…
I don’t understand how this further divides along racial lines either, so if you have the time, please expand on that.

Okay, absolutely. In my opinion, it has become increasingly common for people to look for race in about every situation. Whether it be the loss of Trayvon or this incident with Oprah, I feel like many try and claim that race is behind it all. My opinion is that it’s much more simple than that. People are just selfish creatures. We are hateful. But, when everyone is crying racism, it does nothing but feed the aggression that is already present between different races/cultures. We need to stop letting the powers that be use race-baiting to further their own agendas. People should be looking for ways to bring us closer together, not trying to use race as an excuse to be hateful to one another. Specifically, in the case of Oprah, the fact that it’s already a “race” issue and not an “elitist” issue like was said above is a major problem. Could it be that Oprah was denied the option of buying the bag because of her attire? Or, because the store was closed or whatever it was? Why does it have to be because she was black? Lastly, why does her donations to charity give her a free pass? Like I said earlier, shouldn’t those who donate do it out of compassion and not so they can act however they want to in the future?

I mean, she’s fucking Oprah, and some retarded racist refused to take her money? What a fuck tard.

Edit: and the clerk wasn’t just being a dick; what other reason would they assume she couldn’t afford it in a westernized culture? Hmmm…
Because she was wearing a t-shirt, skirt and flip flops. I am pretty sure that if I walked into a store like that with jeans, a T, and flip flops on that they probably would assume that I couldn’t afford the 38000 purse as well. Elitism yes, Racism no.
I’m pretty sure other celebs don’t shop in extravagant outfits… statistics would help here.
'Cuz paparazzi is a bitch.

I’m saying that it was less likely that she was denied for being in a t-shirt and more likely because she was black. I mean, even in america, you have to assume that about 30% of people are racist, and almost none of those people are overtly racist (I’d say at most 10% of the 30% pool depending on your area). In other countries, the percentage goes up for both since it’s acceptable to be overtly racist in other cultures. I would do the hard research for you right now, but I’m lazy as hell.
Ugh, can you go away?

But racism/crying it is effective. It stops people in their tracks. The most effective poisoning of the well I’ve seen in any larger contemporary debate. When you have to spend a portion of your time defending the slander of “you’re a racist” your opposition has plenty of time to get I front of you.

Look at voter ID laws. Everyone calls them racist. Why? Because then non-thinkers will back opposition to them. Why would any oppose an ID to vote, but demand one for booze, porn, state assistance, fire arm purchases, concert admission, driving a car, getting a job, etc?

Everyone just knows the Tea Party is racist right? Well they believe the false narrative, sure, but when a white Rep from MN (I believe) called Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom recently, all you heard was crickets from the same people that call the Tea Party “tea bagger racists”.

All that shit aside though:

Lets say I’m at a bar. And the bartender is having a bad day. His chick just told him she is having Tony’s baby and she ave him herpes and his hemorrhoid is acting up.

So I stand there for 20 mins, he looks at me a couple times, but never comes and severs me. He doesn’t give a fuck and is only going to serve regulars tonight. I think “what a fucking dickhead” and go to a different bar. It doesn’t matter if the bartender is Black, White, whatever.

But lets say he is white, and a black dude walks up to the bar a half hour later and the same thing happens. Is the black guy going to think “is this fucker ignoring me because I’m black”? Would he really be wrong to think that?

Sure, I agree. Not sure this has happened much throughout human history though.

Yeah, I’m sure the race angle being played here is more about web clicks than O actually thinking it was related to race.
Lastly, why does her donations to charity give her a free pass? Like I said earlier, shouldn’t those who donate do it out of compassion and not so they can act however they want to in the future?
I’m going to be honest, charitable donations are a horrible wealth management tool, people give because they want to, not for taxes (unless they suck at math), not for bragging rights, only for actually charity.

I don’t see any refutations, big guy. Would you say that to a person explaining their experiences with racism to you?

Read this, and marinade in it. Maybe you’ll begin to understand; a person bringing up racism isn’t a time for you to sound like a smartass. No, you’ll sound like a racist piece of shit. Unless of course you condone it… then you are indeed.

Cheers.

Even in fantasy land where I had enough money to be a philanthropist, I wouldn’t build shit in africa, because it would only be a short matter of time before the next tribal war broke out and they chop everybody to pieces and burn the place down, or another warlord comes into power and loots it for shits and giggles.

No. Maybe if you attempt to listen; if you admit you love your privilege I will. If you admit you don’t want to be a racist and read the literature, that’s great as well. The choice is always yours.

No hard feelings: it’s just how this issue pans out.

And, how about we look at empirical facts instead of antidotal evidence like grown ups. And leave the tattling to the kids.

No, it is. Non-white conservatives and “rich” people are among the only groups it is totally acceptable to hate openly in public for no tangible reason other than the person doing the hating insecurities.
