Ontario Heat Wave

Quit being babies lol. It’s 48 degrees Celsius every day here in Kuwait. Windy as all heck too.

i’m in ottawa too and i don’t have AC. it’s ridiculous! i can’t put makeup on because i’m sweating ALL THE TIME. i can’t put body lotion on because it won’t sink in.
the gym is a whole other story. by the time i’m done i’m completely drenched.

My gym had no ac yesterday.

ya i heard that

I went to another motorcycle track day on Monday. My bike said 110degrees and I was in non-perforated leathers and a helmet. I drank probably about 4 gallons of water and was still dehydrated. I kept cramping up on the bike and almost lost it once because I couldn’t kick my leg out… weee!!!

I’m supposed to be working on my conditioning, but this weather is just balls…

Looking at moving my AC into the bedroom tonight, I keep waking up at 3 am to go get water because I have sweated it all out already.

But is it humid? 32 degrees C in humid weather is deadly. Sweat doesn’t evaporate, the body doesn’t cool off.

I’m quite happy my home and office both have A/C. Walking down the street for 5 minutes leaves my back completely wet…

its crazy humid … like it should storm but it just wont

80’s/90’s here in Southeast Canada (Maine).

Just got the A/C put in the window. Ahhhhhhh, A/C.

Anyone see the latest forecast?

Where I’m at it isn’t humid but downtown it is. I’m originally from OH so I understand humidity :).

Toronto right now is at 31 degrees C / 88 degrees F with 62% humidity.

The bike ride into work this morning drenched me completely. I had to spend 5 minutes in the bathroom stall half naked just to cool off a bit.

Thanks God for central air conditioning though, it keeps my apartment at a comfortable 20 degrees all day.

I’m on Long Island NY and the 2 weeks have been hot. The last week of June, that weekend was 98 for a couple of days, the 4th of July weekend cracked 102 two days in a row. Tuesday, I left work and my display in the car was 105, hit the highway and it rose to 108, got up to the LI Expressway and it hit 112 to 114, then back down to 108.

The AC in the bedrooms has been running and the main floor unit as well. I’ve been on the beach quite often or in the pool at home. The lawn looks like shit in a few places, I even added another watering to a few zones.

But come January when we get 18" of snow and the mercury plummets to -10, I’ll take one of these days any time.

It’s 43 today.

I just sit in my car, crank the heat and stare myself down in the rearview mirror for 25 minutes. Then I call myself a pussy just before I pass out. I do this multiple times per day as it makes me much stronger and increases testicular fortitude.

Im in central VA, and it is has been insanely hot. I woke up at like 530 this morning and it was already 82 F. Just plain brutal outside.

I had work to keep from laughing out loud. Thank you for that.

No matter how cold it is you can put on more sweaters and blankets. When it is hot without AC you can only get naked. Can’t go past that. The cold is brutal when your outside but you can escape it.

Fact is any extreme temperatures suck though. Lucky bastards in Vancouver.

Yeah but in Kuwait it’s always hot right? So you get used to the heat, here it’s over 40 C in the hot summer days, and -30 C or below in the winter.

This. Heat sucks because there’s simply nothing you can do about it. I fucking love the cold/winter.

Meh, I grew up on the lower mainland and I prefer the few days of extreme heat/cold to almost year round rain.
Although I might change my mind when I get home to my un-air conditioned attic apartment. Scorching in Montreal today, 42c with the humidex and a UV warning of 11.
