Online Coaching legit?

I looked the kid up… hes loaded to the gills.

That is huge for 17 years old. It is difficult for me to believe that with that much muscle he can only muster up a 1,080lb total.

He must have sticks for legs or his muscles are mostly water bloat.

Yeah… thats exactly where I was going with my train of thought. Math is not mathing if the given numbers are accurate.

This is that weird human phenomenon where experts in the field can recommend something and people will call it into question but if your neighbor says to drink baking soda and vinegar to help alkalize your blood and lose weight people will give it a shot without question.

Dude, just LOOK at his muscles, they look VERY soft and not hard/thick at all. That is ALL water bloat, and like all stupid social media pics, he did NOT post a back or leg pic on purpose, as I can guarantee you he hasn’t developed either significantly. Just the ol “show muscles”. What a tool…17 and destroying his endocrine/reproductive system, moron.

I’m not sure of the exact graduating class, but if I had to guess 300 to 400

Our football is division two

I am a starter on varsity

I have academic awards and I think I was just an honorable mention

Our school is pretty average but last year we made a pretty good run finishing 11-2 but this year was 5-6 we do pretty well in our division.

I have no idea what my vertical is. I don’t think it’s bad but it’s not good. I am decently fast but I have tight hips so I’m stiff sometimes.

My best position is probably DT or 3 tech. I enjoy that one the most, but sometimes they put us in 4i or 4. I’m pretty disruptive in this sort of the middle, but not quite all the way in the middle. I just need more weight to go to the next level in strength. I’m also considering playing tight end or offensive line

his bench press is 420 pounds. I’m not sure if he does powerlifting anymore or if that was from when he was younger.

I find this funny

If the 420lb Bench Press is accurate (and can be accomplished legally) that leaves 660lbs to lift in the Squat and Deadlift. He couldn’t possibly be that strong on the Bench Press and only total another 660lbs with both the Squat and the Deadlift.

I still see zero reason for mentioning a meager total of 1080lbs in the 242lb Class. He couldn’t better our Powerlifting team’s 132lb Class lifter. He typically got a 1150lbs total.

he must’ve been full of BS. He said he was a powerlifting champion for his state or the nation.

I looked on open powerlifitng and the numbers @bulldog9899 saw were from 2023. It seems like he did the meet and then started on a lot of stuff but hasn’t competed since

This makes more sense.

Ok thanks. I’ve watched a few of the kids videos. Allot of them you see him emulating the " new" Bench standard thats young guys are posting as of late.

Powerlifting is such a fractured sport that pretty much anyone can be the galactic champion of the multiverse just by choosing the most niche’ federation/division to compete in.

This gets more difficult as the length of the competitor’s limbs get longer.

Pretty much any tittle is meaningless. Even rankings to be honest doesnt mean much either. Do to all the different Feds and slight lifting standards for each one.

At your age and on your frame, something like 5/3/1, solid food, 1g/lb bodyweight of protein, and creatine will do everything you need for a pretty long time. AAS might help you for a short time, but isn’t worth it for potential testing violations or straight up deactivating your body’s own hormone production. There’s really not a sustainable shortcut to anywhere worth going in lifting/strength/Athleticism. Anyone trying to sell you one is just hoping you’re dumb enough to give them your money and doesn’t actually care about your progress or health.

Agreed.

I even linked to Beyond 5/3/1 above.

I’ve run it for 11 years now and only really did something different for a few weeks. There’s enough variation to address anything you feel you need to and you won’t get bored. Wanna add weight? Add food. Wanna drop weight? Less food.
