Online Coaching legit?

I’m 17 years old, still in high school, and I’m looking into online coaching. Right now I’m 6’3", 235 lbs, and I play football. I’ve had some injury history, including shoulder dislocations and some knee issues that could possibly be a meniscus tear.

Recently, I started looking into coaching options and came across someone (not naming names) who is also 17 and already using steroids. He seems very knowledgeable about training, bodybuilding, diet, and pharmacology. I reached out to him, and part of what he offers includes guidance on compounds like testosterone.

Every time I asked whether taking testosterone or similar compounds could cause long term issues after coming off, he told me it wouldn’t, as long as I followed his protocol. He suggested something like a 3 to 6 month cycle of TRT along with HCG afterward. I’ve also been thinking about coming off cycle properly and doing PCT, but I’m still concerned about whether that could mess up my natural hormone production long term.

His pricing was originally $1,680 for six months, but after talking with him, it got lowered to $220 for the first month, then continuing after that. I haven’t paid anything yet. The cost is one factor, but I’m also unsure about whether I even want to use testosterone in the first place. I feel like my genetics are already solid, and I tend to put on muscle fairly easily when I’m consistent.

I’m planning to get bloodwork done just to see where my hormone levels are at. My main focus right now is training more consistently, since I respond well to that. Ideally, I’d like to gain around 20 to 30 pounds of mostly lean mass over the next six months, although I’m not sure how realistic that is.

At the same time, I found another coach who is local. He’s very well built, strong, and seems experienced. The big difference is that I could potentially meet with him in person, train together, and get hands on coaching. I also expect that his pricing would be lower than the online coach.

So right now I’m deciding between a few options: going with the online coach who focuses heavily on pharmacology, working with the local coach in person, or just continuing to train on my own without paying for coaching at all.

I’m especially unsure because while the online coach seems knowledgeable and claims to have learned from IFBB pros, I don’t know how accurate that is. He also offers a lot of communication, like calls and texts, and seems invested, but I’m still hesitant overall. I also have to consider whether using something like testosterone at my age is even worth it, especially since my goal is to earn a football scholarship, and I don’t want to risk long term consequences that could affect that.

I’m not an expert but taking any anabolic at 17 is a bad idea. Anyone who advises you to take drugs, I would stay away from them. Don’t even think about taking drugs right now.

Do you have another year in High School to play another season of football?

This is a very good idea. You might be on the high end of normal. Best to see what you can achieve naturally before getting into AAS

I would do quite a bit of research to see if taking AAS would place your scholarship in danger.

These type of injuries never fully heal without surgery. But i’ll do that after senior year. and they are fine as long as it’s not being twisted back. plus i have braces

True. I build muscle and strength a bit easier than others.

I’m looking for something I can cycle off of back to normal levels but have all that mass and film, but it may not be possible

D line and O line and some tight end.

This could be more related to androgen binding site density than it is testosterone.

What are the poundage’s of your best compound exercises?

My first year of lifting I could bench 225 that was in 8th grade or about 13 years old. I haven’t done a one rep since freshman year which was 315 lbs. Now I can do close grip bench for around 15 reps with 225. My squat is kinda mid. Trap bar deadlift is 500+ lbs

Apart from your injuries, are you still making strength gains?

I only lift like once or twice a week. My squat is going up and my shoulders are getting back to normal.

If anyone is making pretty good progress naturally, I would AT LEAST play that out until you reach a plateau before considering adding AAS.

Also, optimize your diet and training strategies before adding AAS to the mix

is there any non-androgens that can boost mass quick?

I am not on the cutting edge of the best diet supplements for muscle mass.

But I am sure adequate complete protein is still most important. Creatine still seems a good muscle benefit.

I believe that you need to be lifting weights to get stronger and bigger at least 3 days a week.

So if thats your goal… then train like a athlete. Bodybuilding has nothing to do with being a athlete.

Im assuming your highschool doesnt have a strength and conditioning coach.

I believe OP is looking for a method of quick lean body weight gain, not caring how that occurs. OL and DL men have weights approaching 300lbs that are most in demand.

It seems OP is shooting for being around 260lbs, or more, for the fall football season.
